No one had expected that a battle in the desolate Arctic Circle of Canada would ultimately escalate into the first clash to involve nearly all of Earth's major powers.

The Decepticons certainly had not expected it; they had misjudged humanity's strength.

The Americans could not possibly have foreseen it either. They had always believed they were capable, and for more than a year, they had been preparing for a war against aliens at every moment, convinced that they were fully prepared.

Perhaps the Autobots had not expected it either. At the very least, the vast majority of them had not wanted to fight this battle.

As for Sun Cheng, he had only acted on a sudden impulse, wanting to eliminate as many Decepticons as possible before the main force of the Decepticon Corps led by Shockwave arrived.

Yet regardless, a full-scale conflict that nearly engulfed all of Earth's major powers still erupted.

After simple adjustments and ammunition loading, four Golden Eagle I destroyers activated their optical camouflage somewhere in South America and rapidly entered outer space.

If they were fighting within Earth's atmosphere, each Golden Eagle I destroyer only required a single ordinary Decepticon warrior to operate effectively.

However, outer space was far more complex than Earth's atmosphere, and the amount of information that needed to be processed vastly exceeded that of atmospheric operations. Therefore, two Decepticon warriors were needed to operate a ship during spaceflight.

That was the situation now: eight Decepticon warriors who had repeatedly piloted Golden Eagle I destroyers and undergone flight training both within Earth's atmosphere and in outer space.

Upon receiving their orders, they expertly piloted the four ammunition-laden Golden Eagle I destroyers into outer space, quickly entering cruising formation along their designated orbits.
