Collision (Part 2)

A crater field within New Province, Canada, roughly eighty kilometers from the River Valley region.

This was a crater field that looked very much like it had been formed by a meteorite impact, covering several square kilometers.

However, these craters had not been formed by meteorites. A careful inspection of the areas around the impact pits revealed distinctive soil created by explosions and prolonged burning.

By comparison, while meteorite impacts could also cause the ground inside their craters to crystallize briefly due to the intense heat, that was still distinctly different from the special soil produced by long-term burning.

This was one of the battlefields left behind not long ago when the U.S. military fought the Decepticons.

Strictly speaking, the craters on the ground had been formed when U.S. military aircraft, shot down by the Decepticons' aerial units, crashed and exploded.

Because U.S. military aircraft carried large quantities of fuel and ammunition, they would inevitably continue burning for some time after crashing.

By the time Sun Cheng and his group arrived, some time had already passed since that conflict.

The U.S. military had already cleaned up the area, recovering a large amount of wreckage from the crashed aircraft to prevent information from partially unburned aircraft from leaking out.

Only a very small number of metal fragments remained here. After all, some of the equipment aboard military aircraft contained metals with radioactive elements, and leaving them unattended for too long would still affect the surrounding environment.

Sun Cheng had not expected to encounter Onslaught under such circumstances.

Clearly, Onslaught had not expected it either!

Both groups entered the crater field at almost the same time, and Thunder and Sun Cheng, who had been walking at the front of their formation, immediately noticed Onslaught and his men climbing out of an impact
