"You, come here." Hong Mo beckoned to the girl who seemed the most normal.

"Yes, Master. What are your orders?" The girl knelt in front of Hong Mo, her naked body forming a beautiful curve.

"I'm not your master. Find some gauze and help bandage this up." Hong Mo pointed to the wound at his waist.

Of course, there was no gauze here, but there were other things they could use for bandages, such as lingerie. Hong Mo stared with a dark expression at the black stockings, white stockings, and little panties in the three girls' hands. If he really used those to bandage himself, people would laugh at him as soon as he got outside.

"Use the bedsheets."

As they bandaged him, the three girls lightly rubbed their bodies against him. There was no denying that they had been thoroughly "trained"—they were absolute temptresses. These actions had practically become second nature to them.

Once he was bandaged, Hong Mo stood up to leave.

"Could you take us with you?" the girl asked, seemingly realizing that Hong Mo was different from the people who had used their bodies for pleasure.

"I don't have time," Hong Mo replied without looking back.

"But there's no one outside. If you want to leave, now's your chance." When he reached the door, Hong Mo turned around.

Hong Mo didn't know what fate awaited these three girls, and he had no intention of finding out. From them, he had caught a glimpse of the world's harsh truth: the strong prey on the weak.

Ignoring the girls as they stumbled along behind him, Hong Mo headed outside.

Mu Siyu and the disheveled man were still fighting, but the battle was nearing its end. Both Mu Siyu's frost and the man's flames had weakened to the point of exhaustion.

When Hong Mo entered the battlefield, the disheveled man's eyes finally flickered almost imperceptibly.

"Mu Siyue isn't here." Hong Mo stood beside Mu Siyu and spoke.

He glanced at Hong Mo, then at the three disheveled girls behind him. Mu Siyu's beautiful eyes showed that she understood.

"Hey, it's not what you think." Hong Mo immediately felt a headache coming on.

"I don't understand. Why do you hate the government so much? Is joining a government organization really so unacceptable?" the disheveled man suddenly asked.

"What should I call you, brother?" Hong Mo asked.

"Guo Mingjing."

"I'm Hong Mo, and she's Mu Siyu. You probably already know that. I won't say much more. Neither of us can join a government organization, because we've offended certain people." As he spoke, Hong Mo fished around in his pocket and pulled out a crumpled cigarette.

"Want one?"

"No, thanks."

"I don't think there's any need for us to keep fighting. What do you think?"

Guo Mingjing looked at them both and nodded.

"Then let's leave it at that. We'll each go our own way. If your people keep hunting us later, that's a problem for another day. I'm sure you don't want to risk your life here either." Hong Mo finished speaking and looked into the distance.

In that direction, he could just make out the swift figures of the special police closing in from different angles.

"Let's go, or we won't get another chance."

"By the way, Brother Guo, you know about these three girls. I don't need to explain how they ended up like this—you probably understand better than I do. I'm counting on you." With that, Hong Mo and Mu Siyu turned and left.

Guo Mingjing didn't chase them or try to ambush them. He watched the three disheveled girls and sighed inwardly.

There was a BMW in the police station's garage. He had no idea which big shot it belonged to, but its owner was destined for a bad day. As soon as Hong Mo and Mu Siyu got inside, Mu Siyu slumped into the seat.

"Are you all right?" Hong Mo reached out to support her.

"I'm fine. I'm just exhausted," Mu Siyu replied weakly.

"You and that guy are something else. You fought for ages, yet neither of you got hurt at all."

Mu Siyu gave him an apologetic look at his left hand, which was missing its entire palm, leaving the white bones exposed. "Your hand?"

"If you feel bad, how about you marry me?" Hong Mo joked.

"Sure, if we survive."

"Don't say that. You make it sound like we're doomed to die."

Mu Siyu didn't answer. She moved into the driver's seat. Hong Mo put away his silly grin and pressed his hand to the keyhole. A tiny electric spark flared.

She started the car smoothly and accelerated, and the BMW shot out of the garage like a bullet.

Just as they were about to reach the road, Mu Siyu and Hong Mo saw several police cars blocking their way, with countless officers surrounding the area.

"What do we do?" Mu Siyu asked, without slowing down.

"Plow through. I can probably still manage one more shot." Hong Mo took a deep breath.

"Criminals in the vehicle ahead, surrender immediately! You're surrounded! Surrender immediately!" Some police officer shouted into a megaphone. But it was clearly a waste of breath. Neither Mu Siyu nor Hong Mo had any intention of stopping.

Hong Mo searched his pockets, then his face fell.

"What's wrong?" Mu Siyu glanced at him.

"I'm out of coins." Hong Mo smiled awkwardly.

"Do you need a coin?"

"No. Any metal will do—the harder, the better."

"Use this." Mu Siyu pulled off one of her earrings.

"An earring?" Hong Mo took it.

"It's specially made. Cross Crystal. It's not metal, but it conducts electricity and can be accelerated electromagnetically."

Hong Mo tested the earring in his hand. It conducted electricity, just as she'd said. It worked even better than metal, and it was surprisingly heavy. He couldn't understand why Mu Siyu had such a strange earring. But that didn't matter now.

Five hundred meters, four hundred, three hundred...

As they drew closer, Hong Mo thrust his right hand out the window.

A thick beam of white light shot out along with the earring, smashing into the police cars blocking the road. Flames and metal fragments flew everywhere, and the surrounding officers scattered in panic. The police chief stood there with a dark expression, staring at his panicked subordinates.

These criminals were vicious. They had heavy weapons, and he had no idea what kind.

Whoosh—! Crash!

The BMW shot through, sending the wreckage of the police cars flying in all directions. Heaven knew which unlucky soul might get hit.

Hong Mo slumped back in his seat, unable to summon even a shred of strength. Now it was all up to Mu Siyu. If they couldn't escape, they'd probably meet their end here.

The piercing wail of police sirens rang out. Mu Siyu sped ahead, leading the chase. More than a dozen police cars pursued the BMW relentlessly, their sirens shrieking as they called for backup. Pedestrians on the roadside and drivers on the highway all turned to watch the wild pursuit.

Suddenly, the BMW spun across the road. The tremendous centrifugal force nearly flung Hong Mo out of the car.

"What happened?"

"We've got a flat tire, I think!" Mu Siyu struggled to keep the car steady.

The BMW's tire hadn't blown for no reason. It had probably been hit by a sniper. Hong Mo looked out the window. His enhanced vision let him spot a sniper on a distant building.

"We're close to the Yangtze River. If we have any chance of getting away, that's our only way out." Hong Mo came up with a plan.

Got it!

With one tire blown, the BMW swerved erratically toward the Yangtze River. The ruined tire scraped against the road, throwing off sparks the whole way.
