Background / History

Mu Siyu was a famous, gentle campus belle and a second-year student when she encountered Hong Mo after the meteor shower. The two discovered that they had split the same meteor, whose fragments reacted when brought together. To conceal their physical changes and investigate the phenomenon, Mu Siyu moved into Hong Mo's home; their cohabitation remained platonic 1 3.

Her mutation initially manifested as extreme water absorption. She could absorb water through skin contact and eventually required approximately three tons of fresh water per day. After six months living beside the reunited meteor fragments, she awakened ice powers; the fragments then gradually vanished while the pair's abilities continued strengthening 1.

Wang Aoyun, the mayor's son, targeted Mu Siyu after she rejected him. When he could not coerce her directly, he exploited her friend Tang Tiantian and later abducted and sexually assaulted Mu Siyu's ordinary younger sister, Mu Siyue. Wang showed Mu Siyu recorded footage of the assault and threatened to further abuse Mu Siyue, triggering Mu Siyu's loss of control 3.

At Bright Splendor Pond, Mu Siyu unleashed a deep-cold aura that froze an area roughly five kilometers wide, causing widespread deaths and exposing superpowered individuals to public attention. Hong Mo reached her after the rampage and fled with her when she collapsed from exhaustion 2 4.

After learning that Mu Siyue had been recovered from Wang's property, Mu Siyu approached the police station, where state agents offered to overlook the rampage if she joined them. Hong Mo warned her that the offer was a trap. Mu Siyu read Mao Shaohui's reaction, concluded that the agents intended to kill her, and fought beside Hong Mo instead 6 8.

Her battle with a fire-type esper exhausted her remaining strength. After failing to find Mu Siyue, she escaped the police encirclement with Hong Mo, driving through the pursuit toward the Yangtze River 9 12 13.

On the Yangtze River Bridge, a missile destroyed their car and inflicted a catastrophic wound on Mu Siyu. Refusing to be captured for experimentation, she asked Hong Mo to take her into the river. He carried her through the encirclement and threw her into the Yangtze, where she vanished beneath the water 15.
