The next day.
Natsume Chikage slowly opened his eyes, feeling refreshed all over again.
In fact, for some reason, he'd been feeling surprisingly great these past few days.
But when he felt the touch of hands and legs against him, and even felt someone pressed against his body, he wasn't surprised at all. He simply turned his head to look at Kaga Resaki beside him.
As usual, she'd ended up sleeping over.
She was practically draped all over him.
It was still summer, so it wasn't too bad. In winter, though, he'd probably freeze to death.
But at this point, Natsume Chikage didn't see much point in complaining.
Before long, he'd be able to buy back his old house.
Then, if Kaga Resaki stayed over, she could sleep with Ruri—or, better yet, have a room of her own.
That way, he wouldn't have to worry about Kaga Resaki's sleeping habits bringing her over to his bed at night.
Still, whenever Natsume Chikage tried to get up, his expression inevitably turned complicated.
He had to move carefully and slowly to pull his hand away from in front of Kaga Resaki.
Even so, they couldn't help making contact.
In fact, they were touching the whole time.
He could hold himself back, but his body didn't listen.
Natsume Chikage blushed slightly. He felt conflicted about this challenge that greeted him every morning, but couldn't exactly say anything.
He didn't want to wake Kaga Resaki like last time and end up in an awkward situation again.
But just as he was easing himself away,
for some reason, he thought he heard Kaga Resaki give a sleepy little hum.
Natsume Chikage froze, thinking he might have moved too much and woken her.
He tried to go even more slowly.
At last,
his hand was free.
