Background / History

Harry first notices Zhang San during the Sorting Ceremony and asks how the exchange student knew Hermione Granger would be sorted into Gryffindor. He witnesses Zhang San expose Professor Quirrell as Voldemort's servant, followed by Quirrell killing Zhang with the Killing Curse. 1

After Zhang returns as a ghost and establishes a temple at Hogwarts, Harry eagerly accepts the position of temple attendant alongside Ron Weasley. He helps operate the temple's underground arcade, including selling incense and distributing game tokens. 6 9 12
