Wu Zhu reached Konoha and was drawn into running Dawn’s affairs as Hinata prepared to leave. The organization gathered at its secret base, built it into a home, and finished construction before Hinata proposed a trip to the Artisan Ninja Village for weapons.

• Wu Zhu kept his suspicions about Shanteng to himself as they traveled to Konoha, where Shanteng secretly brought an elderly man to a Root stronghold and planned to report to Danzo.
• Hinata met Wu Zhu on Hokage Rock, assigned him responsibility for Dawn’s affairs, and introduced him as its new core member, Merciful Wuzhu.
• Hinata arranged for Hyuga Hiashi to cover for her, then summoned Dawn’s members to gather near the organization’s base.
• Passerby A received Hinata’s letter, prepared for the gathering, and welcomed Kurama Mutsu before Beichen, Mizuki Rei, Winter Rain, Hinata, and Wu Zhu arrived.

• Wu Zhu explained that the group needed to approach the Artisan Ninja Village’s Four Heavenly Phenomena faction to obtain specialized weapons, and the group planned to exploit rumors about the ultimate weapon to draw in the major powers.
• Sunagakure and Konoha agreed to investigate the village, while Tsunade organized elite teams and other villages debated whether to intervene.

• Hinata's group encountered Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshigaki at an inn, where Deidara and Sasori joined them before the Akatsuki escaped and Deidara destroyed the inn with an explosive.
• Black Eagle ordered an investigation as factions converged on the Artisan Ninja Village, while Kakashi led the Konoha team toward the village with Gaara, Temari, and Kankuro.

• After regrouping, Hinata and her companions decided to approach the Artisan Ninja Village’s conservatives and demand weapons in exchange for resolving the crisis, while the Four Heavenly Phenomena planned another attempt to capture a Jinchuriki.
• Itachi Uchiha, Deidara, Kisame Hoshigaki, and Sasori cornered the Four Heavenly Phenomena, defeated them, and took their four ninja tools as proof for Iwagakure.
• Sakura struck Hinata hard in their match, but Hinata recovered, activated her Byakugan, and rushed at Sakura with a palm strike.
