Eric did not know how long he had been asleep before he woke from his slumber.
"Where am I?"
What appeared before his eyes was a brightness that had long since become unfamiliar, a milky-white ceiling, and an atmosphere as warm as home.
"Am I dreaming?"
He weakly shook his head and looked around. At a glance, he saw to his right, beside a white bed, a group of men in white coats and masks holding syringes and scalpels, busily working on something on the bed.
"What is it?"
In that instant, he saw his familiar, beloved little sister. Her forehead was covered in cold sweat, and her lips were letting out weak murmurs.
"!!!"
"Ayala..."
In an instant, he came fully awake. He shouted his sister's name and tried to get up, but the next moment, a tremendous force pressed him back down onto the bed. Just as he was about to struggle, an unfamiliar voice rang out beside his ear.
"Quiet down. Those doctors are saving your sister right now. If you want her to live, then don't make noise."
He snapped his head around, looking toward the direction the voice—and the force pinning him to the bed—had come from. Then, to the left of his bed, he saw a figure standing there, leaning against the windowsill, both unfamiliar and familiar.
He did not know this person, but that red hair...
It seemed that before he had passed out...
At that moment, Eric finally came completely awake, his eyes widening in disbelief.
Although the pain coming from his body still tormented him, he endured it and sat up on the bed.
He looked around. It was a completely unfamiliar place, but it was extremely magnificent, like a palace.
The entire room was filled with all kinds of medical
