Misunderstanding?

By the time Harry got back to his feet, it was already the early hours of the next day. After chatting with him for a little longer, Dumbledore sent the two of them back to the common room to sleep.

Since alchemy took time, Dumbledore asked Silvan to leave the Mokeskin Pouch there. Silvan agreed without much hesitation.

Over the next two days, Harry finally stopped half-heartedly doing the homework Dumbledore had assigned him. Aside from watching Malfoy's every move, he spent all his time racking his brains over how to get Slughorn to hand over the real memory.

But he had no inspiration at all. The only thing he could think about was something Dumbledore had said before he left the Headmaster's office that day.

"Sometimes, there is more than one way to find courage."

But he never understood what that meant, and discussed it with Ron and Hermione every day.

Silvan listened from the side, unsure whether he should tell him that Dumbledore's true intention was for Harry to use this incident to frighten Slughorn. As long as Slughorn believed Voldemort wanted to silence him, and that was why the Death Eaters had controlled Rosmerta at the Three Broomsticks and sold him poisoned mead.

Slughorn had kept the secret before only because Voldemort had never truly threatened his life.

But now things were different.

If he kept quiet, Voldemort would kill him. If he did not, Voldemort would kill him too. So why was he working so hard to keep it?

Once Slughorn realized that killing Voldemort was the only way to save his own life, he would be willing to cooperate with Dumbledore voluntarily.

But Silvan could not say any of this, because he did not know whether Slughorn knew Legilimency.

If Slughorn's Legilimency was like Snape's,
