"Silvan, I'm afraid it'll be difficult for me to offer you any useful advice."
On the second floor of Ollivanders Wand Shop at 267 Diagon Alley, Garrick Ollivander stared at the five wands laid out on the table before him, his eyes briefly clouding over.
Last year, Silvan had made a wand with Red Cap heart nerves as its core, and the shock had kept him awake for days.
Now, that wand seemed like the most ordinary one among them.
Just look at the others...
An entire Troll Spine, a wizard's hair, a unicorn's soul, and something he had no idea what it was—but definitely nothing good.
These things had practically pinned Garrick's understanding to the ground, crushed it to pieces, put it back together, then crushed it again... and repeated the process four times.
And Silvan had to start asking him questions at a time like this... How could a Troll Spine be shrunk down to the size of a normal wand core? How could he quickly select a wand body compatible with a wizard's hair...
How was he supposed to know?!
It was true that he had made wands for nearly a century, but he had never used something as absurd as an entire Troll Spine as a material!
The experience accumulated over centuries suddenly seemed utterly useless when faced with Silvan.
It also made Garrick unable to stop wondering what exactly Silvan had experienced at Hogwarts.
"Let's put everything else aside for now." Garrick picked up the wand on the table that looked the most normal—and that he considered the least normal of all.
"How did you make a wand out of a wizard's hair?"
"Is there a problem?" Silvan asked. "Don't you also make wands that secure a single Veela hair..."
"Veela aren't wizards," Garrick said.
