"Silvan, I only just noticed—when did you buy a... is that a necklace?"

Inside the wand shop, Lila watched Silvan come downstairs, her gaze inevitably falling on the strange ornament hanging from his chest.

"If you ask me, that design doesn't really suit you." Carrying several boxes from behind the counter, Garian glanced back at it as well.

"A green S. Honestly, the first thing I thought of when I saw that design was Slytherin. But you're a Gryffindor, so why didn't you choose a red one?"

"Because it only came in one color." Silvan shrugged. "The red one is a sword, and its owner probably has no intention of selling it."

Garian and Lila exchanged a look. It was clear neither of them understood what he meant.

Weren't they discussing the color of an accessory? What did that have to do with weapons?

A sword... well, for wizards, that did count as a fairly common ornament. Did Silvan like that sort of thing?

"All right, enough joking." Silvan smiled. "I actually just made this. What do you think?"

"Um... it's very, very distinctive?" Lila said uncertainly.

"Setting aside its style... well, if it were a Slytherin, they'd probably love an ornament with that kind of design."

"Mom, that's not what I meant." Silvan shook his head. "This is a proper wand. It has a core."

"A wand?" The confusion on Lila's face became even more obvious.

Although she had lived with the Ollivander Family for a long time, her understanding of wands had barely changed from decades ago.

Garian beside her was much the same.

To them, something shaped like a necklace could not possibly count as a wand.

Still, they knew that ever since Silvan had started school, he had often made strange and
