New Students Who Couldn't Buy Supplies

Life at The Burrow was fairly peaceful.

The ambitious Death Eaters had begun acting openly, throwing the wizarding world into a panic. It was as though they had returned to the days of the First Wizarding War over a decade ago.

A grayish-white fog constantly hung over London. Though it was August, the hottest month of the year, people within the fog shivered from the cold.

It was a change brought by the Dementors. Before long, they would probably begin attacking Muggles without restraint.

But none of this had anything to do with the people at The Burrow.

Whether it was Silvan and Harry, who had caught Voldemort's attention, or Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and the other prospective members of the Order of the Phoenix, they were all well protected.

Mad-Eye Moody had never assigned them any missions, and Mrs. Weasley never allowed anyone to discuss the situation outside in front of them.

If one ignored the fact that they could not leave The Burrow, this holiday was almost no different from previous years.

Diagon Alley, however, was a different story.

Fred and George had risked a trip to Diagon Alley a few days ago and had nearly been captured on the spot by Death Eaters hiding there. Tonks had arrived just in time to rescue them.

After returning to The Burrow, Fred told everyone that the Death Eaters had completely occupied Diagon Alley, with Ollivanders Wand Shop receiving particular attention.

"At least three Death Eaters were guarding the entrance to the alley," George said softly after glancing at Silvan. "That's just what we saw. There may have been more."

"But don't worry, your grandfather is fine," Fred quickly said. "Those Death Eaters were only guarding the entrance. It didn't look like they planned to storm the shop."
