"Silvan Ollivander—"
The moment Silvan slipped into the passage behind the counter, he heard a muffled voice from within.
The black cat rapidly stretched in midair, reverting to Silvan's form.
"You know me?"
"Of course I know you. There are so many wanted posters of you, they could practically wallpaper a room," Aberforth said gruffly, never taking his eyes off Silvan.
"Wanted posters?" Silvan shook his head and chuckled. "I was a cat just now. The posters never mentioned that I was an Animagus."
"They do now. A black cat with one blue eye and one yellow eye—it's written very clearly," Aberforth said flatly. "Don't forget, you used that trick to escape Voldemort before. My guess is that he didn't include it before only to lower your guard."
"Then why didn't I run into anything just now?" Silvan frowned slightly.
He had indeed been somewhat careless, but no Death Eaters had caused him trouble along the way from Honeydukes to the Hog's Head Inn.
"Thank that Death Eater named Carrow. She drove every cat out of Hogwarts. Hogsmeade has been full of these furry creatures lately, and the Death Eaters here are already sick of the sight of them."
Silvan had not expected Alecto Carrow to be involved in this. That Death Eater truly was—wonderful.
"You were merely lucky." Aberforth turned and opened a cabinet as he spoke. "No matter what, coming to the Hog's Head Inn at a time like this was not the right choice."
"I know. That's why I'm about to leave."
"Aren't you going to tell me anything?" Aberforth turned around with two bottles of liquor in hand. "I'd guess you didn't take such a risk to come to the Hog's Head Inn just for a drink."
"Of course not, but there's no need now."
"Why?"
