Chapter 807: Evacuating the Students

Alecto Carrow was struck by a spell and collapsed unconscious to the floor. The Slytherin patrol was then almost completely wiped out as well.

No one knew what had happened that night. It was only after those Slytherins had been taken out of the castle that some people gradually came to their senses.

"No way!"

"Professor Carrow is a Death Eater! I heard the Dark Lord has already taken over most of the wizarding world. How could Professor McGonagall—"

"Isn't it obvious?" Someone looked up, their eyes shining as they watched the professors at the entrance to the Great Hall.

"We're fighting back!"

"But—"

"No buts. I hope it's true—"

"That would be insane!"

"Not at all. We should have done this long ago!"

The murmuring grew louder, and everyone's gaze fell on Professor McGonagall, waiting for an answer.

But Professor McGonagall said nothing. After looking around, she waved her wand, and three silver cats leaped from its tip, each with markings around its eyes shaped like spectacles.

The three Patronuses ran nimbly forward. One stopped beside a boy on the second floor and said, "All Gryffindor prefects, boys and girls, report to the Great Hall immediately."

After speaking, the silver cat ran off again, presumably to notify the other prefects.

The Gryffindor boy froze for a moment, then hurried toward the Great Hall as fast as he could.

Before long, the prefects from the other three Houses, excluding Slytherin, had all gathered in the Great Hall, along with the Head Boy and Head Girl.
