On Sundays, Tears of Angels held a discussion meeting to summarize the intelligence and gains from the past week.
As the president's most trusted confidant, Gabriel had arrived at the meeting hall early. Everyone who entered took the initiative to greet him, and he merely nodded in acknowledgment. Only when he met someone familiar would he chat with them for a moment.
"Aurora, long time no see. You have no idea—we recently got our hands on a world-class item."
"Oh, really? The company's just been a little busy lately. I finally managed to log in and play for a bit, so don't lie to me."
"Why would I? To obtain this world-class item, Raphael, Sraosha, and I charged right into the front lines."
"President Michael will announce it in a moment. Go in and wait."
"Then I'll have to take a good look."
As more and more people filled the meeting hall, the chatter gradually grew louder, until Michael entered with Raphael and the others.
In an instant, the noise in the hall slowly faded away. Everyone's eyes turned toward the people behind Michael. What he held in his hand was the focus of this discussion: the world-class item [Heaven-Supporting God].
With a flap of his wings, Michael flew to his designated seat. He smiled as he swept his gaze across the meeting hall, then slowly began to speak.
"First, I would like to thank everyone for attending this meeting on time. Today, we have something extremely important to announce."
He paused, piquing everyone's curiosity. Raphael and Sraosha beside him both wore proud smiles, as though they had already foreseen what would happen next.
"Through our relentless efforts and hard-fought battles, we have finally succeeded in obtaining the world-class item—[Heaven-Supporting God]!"
Michael's voice echoed through the hall, every word filled with confidence and pride.
Thunderous applause and cheers erupted in the hall. Everyone rejoiced over their achievement; they knew that obtaining this item was of tremendous significance to Tears of Angels.
"This item not only represents our strength, but is also a symbol of the spirit of Tears of Angels. We will use this item to create even greater glory for our guild."
"Next, let Feier, the greatest contributor to this operation, explain the details."
Feier flew onto the central stone pillar and described to everyone how he had discovered Nine's Own Goal's stronghold and persuaded the president to seize [Heaven-Supporting God]. His story was utterly riveting.
What he did not know was that more than half the people in the hall were eyeing him strangely. After pledging allegiance to Mu Fengyu, they had naturally been told by Mu Fengyu that he was an undercover agent.
Mu Fengyu's investigation had thoroughly examined the target's entire web of connections, so discovering this undercover agent had been only natural.
Onstage, Feier vividly bragged about his own wisdom. Below, the spies were either using their permissions to disable all kinds of traps, directly notifying Mu Fengyu that he could attack, or, even more outrageously, mentally rehearsing how to spectacularly stab their companions in the back.
After receiving the notification, Mu Fengyu brought along his newly recruited underling and prepared to solo the guild.
At that moment, Mu Fengyu sat atop Siyou Qilong's massive arm, continuously complaining about how he had randomly leveled up his race.
"I told you to wait until I logged in so I could help you choose your class and racial path, but you wouldn't listen. Now look at you—you've practically turned yourself into a lump of iron."
Hearing Mu Fengyu's complaints, Siyou Qilong helplessly scratched his head.
"Boss, I just wanted to get stronger faster so I could help you. Besides, I thought the mechanical race looked pretty cool, so I picked it."
Mu Fengyu sighed and knocked on Siyou Qilong's metal head.
"How many times do I have to say it? Calling me boss is too formal. We're still in a party, so call me Captain."
"You're level sixty now, and both your class and race have hit forty. Your class levels are all wasted on a bunch of useless trash classes."
"Think about it. How is a giant hunk of metal supposed to be a priest? And this assassin class—what use is that?"
"How is a robot over three meters tall supposed to assassinate anyone? Never mind anything else, at your current speed, even a wild monster could run circles around you."
Siyou Qilong rubbed his head and smiled sheepishly.
"Hehe, Captain, aren't you here? And haven't you already reserved me a spot as a group member? You'll definitely help me, right?"
Mu Fengyu rolled his eyes and said irritably.
"Get lost, get lost. We'll talk after we loot Tears of Angels this time. I suggest you hurry up—them holding out won't last long."
At Mu Fengyu's command, Siyou Qilong's enormous mechanical body began to move. They sped through Tears of Angels' outer perimeter and arrived directly beneath Thundercliff.
Tears of Angels' stronghold was divided into five areas: the cliff-bottom area at the lowest level, the cliffside area above it, the inner maze area, the outer thundercloud area, and the most central cliff-top area.
Although all the traps in the cliff-bottom area had been disabled, the uneven ground still had a considerable effect on Siyou Qilong's speed. Fortunately, before long, the two of them smoothly reached the entrance to the maze area.
The level-one-hundred NPC of this layer stood guard there as well. It was an angelic youth who looked twelve or thirteen years old. The moment he saw intruders, he spread the wings on his back, tightly gripped a glowing longsword, and charged at them.
Mu Fengyu smiled slightly. He had no intention of tangling with this young angel and directly unleashed his domain.
The White Flower Flash Domain unfolded. The young angel immediately felt an overwhelming pressure. His face instantly turned pale, and the longsword in his hand began to tremble.
However, Mu Fengyu and Siyou Qilong did not enter the domain with him. They still needed to reach the core before Tears of Angels could react.
After deploying the domain, Mu Fengyu immediately directed Siyou Qilong into the maze area. He took out the map provided by the mole and analyzed the shortest route.
The NPCs in this area were also directly thrown into the domain to keep the earlier NPC company.
Under Mu Fengyu's command, Siyou Qilong moved like an agile tank through the maze area, avoiding trap after trap and monster after monster. They moved at incredible speed, like a bolt of lightning streaking through the maze.
Before long, they arrived in the thundercloud area. The monsters here were higher level, and the traps were even more dangerous. Yet Mu Fengyu and Siyou Qilong did not slow down, continuing forward at tremendous speed.
The NPC in this area was a long snake rolling through the thunderclouds. As long as they followed a specific route, they would not alarm it.
After circling around it, the two prepared to begin the most troublesome part: climbing the mountain. Tears of Angels' members could directly teleport through their guild rings, but the two intruders could only honestly climb their way up.
