As he was now, he was markedly different from the Blood River King.
The Blood River King felt fierce greed and hunger for living beings. Add a human sword cultivator's extreme racial supremacism and demonic thoughts on the verge of running wild, and he was essentially a typical Old Devil of the sword path—one with an unshakable Dao heart.
His true self was different.
His true self had little interest in killing, only in the deaths of the strong. Unless necessary, he would not even appear before the weak, remaining hidden in the void, much less kill them.
His Dao heart differed from the Blood River King's, too.

All in all, because he walked a different path, his true self was fairly easy to get along with. If you were not strong enough, you would have trouble even provoking him. He was remarkably tolerant of the weak and had a good temper.
