"Malfurion, you finally came." Tyrande stepped forward and embraced Malfurion as soon as she saw him enter.
Malfurion returned her embrace. "I'm here. You look exhausted. You should get some rest." Tyrande shook her head. "I can't rest. The fighting here is far too intense."
Varian quietly watched the two embrace, then coughed lightly a few times. Blushing, Tyrande released Malfurion. Malfurion looked at Varian and said, "Forgive my rudeness. Tyrande and I have not seen each other for a long time." Varian waved dismissively. "I'm used to it. But may I ask why you are here now? You originally opposed, even refused to take part in this war."
Malfurion looked at Varian. "In the Emerald Dream, I sensed nature's warning and fear. Nature told me that a force was slowly awakening, one that might affect all of Azeroth. At the same time, the guardian dragons told me that a familiar presence had appeared, but that presence was dangerous. After waking, I contacted the mages of Dalaran. They told me a powerful energy had appeared at the Maelstrom, but it has since vanished. They are still searching." Varian looked at Malfurion. "You mean for me to stop the war?" Malfurion said, "I know it is impossible to stop now. Both sides have been driven mad by bloodshed. I only hope to reduce the casualties as much as possible."
Varian looked at Malfurion. "Where there is war, there will be casualties. We have already lost many people. You must have seen King Genn's condition. Besides, we did not start this war—the Horde did. You should discuss it with the Horde." Tyrande also spoke up. "Malfurion, you have slept for too long. The Horde is no longer the Horde led by Thrall. The current Warchief is Garrosh Hellscream. The Horde is now a war machine, a fortress of steel."
Malfurion looked at his wife and Varian, then sighed. "I will do my best to aid the wounded. Not only me—some Druids will come to help as well. The same goes for the Horde. I cannot force the Druids not to take part in the war."
Varian said with relief, "Thank you. That is enough."
The Horde also received a special guest. A man in plain white robes, holding a massive hammer that proclaimed his identity—the former Warchief, Thrall of the Frostwolf Clan, chieftain of the Frostwolf Clan and liberator of the Orcs. Once they recognized him, every Orc lowered their head. Even the current Warchief gave a slight nod.
Garrosh looked at the man before him, his thoughts in turmoil. "You're here. What do you want now?" Thrall looked at Garrosh. "Warchief, I have sensed unrest among the elements. They are afraid of something. A great crisis is about to descend upon this place." Garrosh stood. "So? You've come to stop this war? Impossible. Don't forget that I am the Warchief of the Horde. You abandoned that position. You left us behind. And now you appear before me, saying you want to stop this war. I have no objection if you are here to help, but do not do anything unnecessary. This is my Horde." Garrosh's voice grew louder and more agitated with every word. Thrall had wanted to say something more, but when he saw Vol'jin shake his head, he could only step aside.
After Thrall and Vol'jin met outside, they embraced. "Old friend, it has been a long time." Vol'jin asked, "How have you been? Did you find what you were looking for? You should not be here, even if you were once a hero." Thrall touched his hammer. "Do you know, when Orgrimmar gave me this hammer and my father's tooth, I was lost. We left Draenor and came here in order to survive. Here, we clashed with the native inhabitants. What was it for? To survive better, or because our blood itself carries a violent, invasive nature? I grew up in an internment camp. I read many books and met many humans, which changed my views, as you know. But soon after, I discovered something else. After encountering it, I was no longer lost. I found my own purpose. I sensed the existence of the elements—fire, earth, wind, and lightning. Recently, the elements suddenly became violently agitated and difficult to communicate with. After spending much time trying to understand, I realized they were afraid of something, terrified of something. They believed something was about to appear." Thrall looked at Vol'jin and spoke each word slowly. "The elements believe that all of Azeroth will fall into a great catastrophe." Vol'jin said, "But as the Warchief said, the Horde is no longer what it was when you led it. Everyone respects you, but their loyalty still belongs to Warchief Garrosh." Thrall said dejectedly, "I know. That is why I will not leave. I will do my best to reduce the casualties."
Greymane, lying in bed, slowly opened his eyes. Looking around in confusion, he asked, "Where am I?" He tried to push himself up with both hands, but a suffocating pain in his chest made him groan. Hearing the disturbance, Alpha hurriedly woke up. Seeing Greymane awake, he said excitedly, "King Genn, you're finally awake. Thank Elune. You are at headquarters. Lord Malfurion saved you." Hearing this, Greymane relaxed and lay back down, learning what had happened while he was unconscious. "So we are at a disadvantage now." Alpha considered it for a moment. "Not exactly. Both sides still have trump cards they have not yet used." Just as Alpha was about to say more, a soldier came over and reported, "Report! The commander has ordered all officers to assemble."
After signaling that he understood, Alpha said to Greymane, "Looks like the fighting is about to begin again. I wonder what will happen this time." Genn said, "I'll leave it to you. Come back alive." "Yes."

Soon, after a brief period of rest and reorganization, both sides gathered once more at the border. Their formations were just as massive as before. With the corpses of their comrades lying between them, both sides were burning with rage, hurling insults at one another. If not for their respective leaders holding them back, they would have already charged into each other.
Garrosh looked at Varian. "Why don't I see that worgen? What, is he dead? How weak." Varian was not provoked in the slightest and instead said calmly, "Garrosh, you will pay for what you have done."
Sylvanas looked at Alpha with a mocking gaze, while Alpha stared back at Sylvanas with his incomparably deep eyes.
Suddenly, a commotion broke out among the Horde. A group of enormous masses of flesh appeared at one side of the battlefield. They were Abominations, war machines brought by the Scourge. Tyrande gritted her teeth at their appearance and said to Varian, "I should have realized that if the undead joined them, there would be Abominations as well. This was my mistake." Varian fixed hawk-like eyes on the Abominations. "It is not your fault. Have the paladins prepare. It is their turn to take the field. Have the mages join them as well." Malfurion merely frowned and said nothing. Upon receiving the order, a group of knights clad in silver armor emerged from the army. Unlike the previous knights, they wielded no lances, but two-handed swords with silver-white blades.
Seeing the knights appear on the Alliance side, Garrosh sneered. "Varian is certainly patient, only bringing out the Silver Hand now. Is it just to deal with the undead?" He turned to Vol'jin. "Have the shamans act. Use Bloodlust when appropriate. I want to crush the Alliance in one blow." Thrall lowered his eyes as he listened from the side. Behind him, a group of shamans draped in white wolf pelts received the order and scattered, concealing themselves within the army.
The flutes sounded, and war drums thundered. The two sides became entangled in battle once more.
