First Appearance Chapter 2, “Blood Servant”

Background / History

Yicha was kidnapped before the Apocalypse War’s summons and trapped in a human form by a planar warlock’s transformation and restriction curses. Unable to sense chaos or contact his kind, he set out to recover his confiscated belongings and undo the transformation. Xiqisi attempted to bind him as her blood servant, but Yicha used a Vine Spirit Counter-Curse to reflect the contract’s power onto her instead. 2

After recovering his possessions from Nese’s tower, Yicha chose not to take revenge on the warlock. He offered to teach Nese about energy conversion, later accepting him as his first formal student. Xiqisi declined Yicha’s offer to dissolve their blood pact and remained with him, while Keir—an angel deserter and Yicha’s old friend—joined them. 3 5

Rather than return immediately to demon society, Yicha led his companions toward Chaos Hell to interfere with the Apocalypse War. He converted Nese into an energy lifeform for planar travel, educated him on energy domains, and began testing his practical ability under dangerous conditions. 6 7 13 15

Yicha later underwent an unexpected angelic transformation, radiating Order energy and growing wings. This form led demons to mistake him for an angel spy, and eventually positioned him as the First Fallen Angel in the eyes of Sankarabi’s cult. 18 38

During his conflict with Yifomiet, Yicha refused to kill the destructive Grand Duke despite being wounded by the Extermination Destruction Cone. He used dream energy to expose Yifomiet’s memories, offered him guidance and a chance at revenge against Sorena’s killer, and bound him through a white contract. 23 25 26 29

After confronting Beelzebub, Yicha survived a miracle with four and a half days of missing memories. He returned to demon form, used the miracle’s altered circumstances to evade Beelzebub as a “new duke,” and continued searching for the Chaos Child around Mount Kishino and the Underground Judgment Arena. 41 43 46 47

Appearance

Yicha can assume a humanlike appearance, his natural demon form, and an angelic form. His demon form is marked by crimson horns, azure flames in his eye sockets, a powerful tail, wings, and black-and-crimson robes. 2 4 5

  • Human form — slender and outwardly human; initially imposed on him by a transformation curse. 2 3
  • Demon form — bright crimson horns, azure eye-flames, an elegant tail, and enormous black wings. 4 5
  • Attire — black-and-crimson robe patterned with flame markings and dark cloud scrolls. 3 4
  • Angelic form — manifests holy Order energy and angelic wings, causing others to identify him as an angel. 18 25
  • Later demon appearance — sharply defined features, long crimson horns, and blue flames in his eye sockets. 41

Personality

Yicha is intensely curious, scholarly, and easily more interested in unusual magic, lifeforms, and theoretical problems than in warfare. Before the Apocalypse War, he was preoccupied with research on harmonizing Order and Disorder, dragon dreams, fairy pranks, and the histories of the nine planes. 2

He remains calm under coercion and danger, preferring analysis, teaching, and manipulation over direct hostility. He repeatedly gives others choices—even when he expects them to fail—and values intelligence as a rare resource worth preserving. His mercy toward Nese and Yifomiet stems less from sentimentality than from his belief that talent should be used properly. 3 13 25 26

Yicha has difficulty understanding human customs and emotions, but discovers that he enjoys explaining knowledge and watching students improve. His teaching can be demanding or outright dangerous, yet he protects his students when necessary and plans around their limitations. 5 15 36 38

Abilities & Skills

Energy-Domain Analysis

Yicha is an expert in energy classification, domain analysis, and power channeling. He carries six types of energy; Nese identifies Disorder, Life, and Dream, while Yicha later reveals true chaos as the fifth. 2 13 14 16

  • Disorder energy — an innate demonic domain used in transformation and energy manipulation. 7 16
  • Life energy — derived from the Vine Spirit domain; associated with orderly creation and nature’s positivity rather than ordinary living things. 14
  • Dream energy — used to enter or expose memories and dreams. 26 29
  • True chaos — a rare fifth domain that Yicha reveals to Nese. 16
  • Unidentified domains — Yicha withholds one rarely used energy type from Nese’s examination. 16

Transfiguration and Lifeform Manipulation

Yicha can alter the state and form of living beings through disordering, condensation, and law-based extraction.

  • Decomposed Nese’s material body, preserved his spiritual energy, and remade him as an energy lifeform capable of planar travel. 6 7
  • Reinfused Nese’s energy into a demon shell selected for its law-energy conductivity. 36
  • Understands the compatibility limits of vessels; he determines that Keir’s pure Order energy cannot inhabit demon shells. 36 37
  • Uses Transfiguration principles involving an origin, destination, and path, which he learns from Keir’s theory. 20

Vine Spirit Spells and Life Manipulation

Yicha employs Vine Spirit power for counter-curses, preservation, and healing.

  • Reversed Xiqisi’s blood contract with a Vine Spirit Counter-Curse, binding her with the power she had invested in the pact. 2
  • Uses life energy to preserve spiritual energy during transfiguration. 7
  • Can attempt Vine Spirit healing, though destruction-energy wounds from Yifomiet’s spear resist this method. 23

Law Magic and Runes

Yicha can construct and trigger law-based magic circles, manipulate law energy, and repair large magical structures.

  • Activated concentric law-energy circles to test Nese with demonic flames. 15
  • Drew a vision-recreation spell that displayed a distant location on a pool’s surface. 30
  • Repaired the mana dome over the Demon Courtyard with marrowstones, elemental energy, and law formations. 37
  • Carries quick-cast runes, talisman paper, Silent Ink, and scholarly materials for magical work. 3

Dream and Memory Reading

Yicha can use dream energy to access memories and create dreamlike encounters.

  • Forced Yifomiet to relive memories of Sorena and Xiqisi during their confrontation. 26
  • Met Yifomiet in a dreamlike state to negotiate the white contract. 29
  • Considers reading Xiqisi’s memories to locate the Chaos Child, but rejects it as a long-term solution. 30

Order and Divine Power

In his angelic state, Yicha can wield Order energy and divine light against destructive forces.

  • Manifested Order energy and wings during his sudden transformation. 18
  • Neutralized Yifomiet’s destruction-energy attacks by enclosing the blood-rain fragments in orderly divine light. 25
  • Used the Light of Order of the First Fallen Angel while resisting Beelzebub’s assault. 38

Mobility and Escape

Yicha can move rapidly through space and use rifts or short-range displacement.

  • Opened a void rift that forcibly returned Xiqisi’s body to him. 3
  • Teleported with Xiqisi into Nese’s tower and private room. 3
  • Shifted thirty feet without delay while fighting Yifomiet. 23
  • Escaped Beelzebub’s notice through a miracle. 46

Command: Yes or No

Yicha can issue a command that breaks a target’s will defense and compels binary answers.

  • Used Command: Yes or No on a sand-pile demon in the Underground Judgment Arena. 48
  • Extracted information about the Man-Eating House and the Chaos Child’s location. 48

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Yin Iron curved blade / scimitar — used to kill the sand-pile demon and in combat. 3 49
  • Golden horn chain — worn around his horns and later entrusted to Goodbye. 3 6 38
  • Black-and-crimson robe — his personal mark, patterned with crimson flames and black cloud scrolls. 3
  • Colored energy Marrowstone — stored for magical and energy-related work. 3
  • Quick-cast rune bottles — five crystal bottles containing prepared runes. 3

  • Alexander Hanging Ghost’s twig — a highly conductive fragment useful as magical material or a tool. 37

Relationships

  • Xiqisi — His blood-pact servant after Yicha reversed her attempted contract; later his companion and reluctant student. They remain linked through the pact and communicate across long distances. 2 5 30 47
  • Nese — Yicha’s first formal disciple. Yicha teaches him energy theory, tests him harshly, transforms him into an energy lifeform, and later provides him a new physical shell. 5 7 15 36
  • Keir — An angel deserter and Yicha’s longtime friend. Keir teaches him Transfiguration theory, while Yicha later struggles to find a suitable vessel for Keir’s Order energy. 5 20 36
