Background / History

Xiqisi is the daughter of Yifomiet, the Hand of Destruction, and Sorena. She hatched as a baby harpy in an eggshell; Yifomiet identified himself as her father and told her that Sorena had chosen her name. 28

She was raised largely among humans rather than demon society. As a result, she lacks basic knowledge of demonic customs, including the fate of demon souls in Gamenity and the logic of the Underground Judgment Arena. 47

Before meeting Yicha, Xiqisi established herself as a mortal-world goddess, styling herself the Joyful Saintess. Her divine power is derived from her believers’ collective will; she later reports having 2,652 believers. 2 3 30

Personality

Xiqisi is theatrical, vain, and mischievous. She initially treats gaining a demon blood servant as a novelty to flaunt, eagerly imagining Yicha performing for her followers and recording her “joy.” 2

She is quick-tempered and prone to impulsive violence, attempting to attack Yicha after being bound by the blood pact and later moving to kill Nese after he had ceased to be useful. 3 4 Her confidence can collapse into panic when she loses control, as shown when Yicha reverses her forced-servitude contract. 2 3

Despite claiming she only stays with Yicha because it is “more interesting,” Xiqisi repeatedly returns to his side and independently searches for the Chaos Child to help stop the Apocalypse War. 5 30 She also shows concern for the loss of her believers, suggesting a growing sense of responsibility as a divine being. 30

Blood Servant Incident

Xiqisi rescues the captured Yicha and tries to bind him through a forced-servitude blood contract. Yicha recognizes the ancient fairy spell and turns it back on her with the Vine Spirit Counter-Curse, temporarily incapacitating her and placing her under the pact instead. 2

Though she initially resists and attacks him, the pact’s distance restriction forces her to remain near Yicha. She ultimately cooperates with him against Nese and uses her divine power to incapacitate Nese’s priests. 3

Joining Yicha’s Journey

After Yicha offers to dissolve the pact, Xiqisi chooses to remain with him. She helps fabricate a divine-descent scene at Nese’s prison and joins Yicha, Nese, and Keir on their intended journey to Chaos Hell. 5 6

She guides the group toward Yicha’s Calamity Stone floating-island courtyard, carrying Keir through hazardous terrain until they arrive at the Demon Courtyard. 10 11

Search for the Chaos Child

Separated from Yicha for a time, Xiqisi independently searches for the Chaos Child. She finds its location but cannot bring it back, then returns to report her discovery. 30

Yicha later summons her to guide him around Mount Kishino. She leads hellhounds into the Underground Judgment Arena, communicating with Yicha through the blood pact while descending toward the Chaos Child’s location. 43 47

At the arena’s deepest levels, Yicha gives her Sorena’s feather for protection and orders her to continue downward with Goodbye while he investigates separately. 48
