History
Yifomiet was originally the wandering demon Asmodeus. Around four hundred and fifty years before the main story, he descended from Chaos Hell to the Prime Material Plane and became a human god associated with destruction and chaos. His wife, Sorena, devised the plan: he would appear before human worshippers as the Hand of Destruction, accept their offerings, and use faith power to become stronger. Though initially content with his existing strength and wishing to return to Hell, he followed her guidance. 1 27
At Azure Cloud Summit, Yifomiet granted his followers’ prayer for the destruction of four hostile forces. The resulting faith power brought him close to his final rank change, but his ascension stalled after Sorena’s death. Harpies informed him that an earless demon had delivered Sorena’s bone; unable to see clearly after their fairy dust blinded him, Yifomiet carved “Hand of Destruction Yifomiet” into the bone as a new anchor point. This completed his ascension and awakened his new power. 27 28
Shortly afterward, he found a newborn harpy in an eggshell and acknowledged her as his daughter, Xiqisi. He told her that Sorena had chosen her name. 28
Sorena later used the harpy prank Life Joke to steal Yifomiet’s original anchor and true demon name, identified as “Asmode.” The prank remained in effect for four hundred and fifty years. 43
Under Beelzebub’s orders, Yifomiet led the 663rd through 666th Hell Legions against Yicha’s floating island and attempted to kill him. He fought Yicha with the Extermination Destruction Cone, but Yicha eventually neutralized his attacks with order energy and refused to kill him, judging Yifomiet’s intelligence too valuable to waste. 22 25
After Yicha forced him to relive memories of Sorena, Yifomiet accepted a law-based contract. In exchange for guidance, revenge against Sorena’s killer, and the possibility of reviving her, he agreed to undergo Yicha’s training and assist with research. His first task as Yicha’s student was repairing the courtyard his forces had destroyed. 26 29 30
He later delivered Beelzebub’s message to Yicha and used Command to withdraw the demon armies from the floating island. When Beelzebub approached, he remained behind to guard the tower and forcibly stopped Xiqisi from following Yicha into danger. 37 38
Appearance
Yifomiet’s true form is a towering, heavily built bull-headed demon whose body radiates concentrated destruction energy. He can alter his size, becoming much smaller during combat while retaining his strength and speed. 23
- Dark-gray bull horns that burn with undying flames. 23
- Bloodshot, bulging white eyes without visible pupils. 23 25
- Four arms, including a pair of human arms positioned at his shoulders. 22 24
- Dense smoke rising from his muscles and distorting the air around him. 23
- A refracted energy-form appearance in Energy Vision, with traits such as horn tips, fangs, joints, and tail fragments appearing through shifting prisms. 23
Personality
Yifomiet is ruthless, proud, and accustomed to enforcing authority through violence. He kills or threatens subordinates to maintain discipline and nearly kills Sankarabi during his confrontation with Yicha. 29 26
Despite this brutality, he is intelligent, tactically adaptive, and capable of Transfiguration. During his battle with Yicha, he shrinks to escape a vulnerable position and exploits openings with precise spear strikes. Yicha considers his intelligence a rare talent worth preserving. 23 25
His memories reveal deep attachment to Sorena and a protective instinct toward Xiqisi. Sorena’s death, the loss of his true name, and his unresolved desire for revenge remain central to his choices. 26 29
Abilities & Skills
Destruction Energy
Yifomiet wields destruction energy at an exceptionally high level, making him one of Beelzebub’s most dangerous combatants. 23
- Produces corrosive black smoke, chaotic fire, blood-rain fragments, and destructive shockwaves. 23 24
- Uses Destructive Burst, which clashes directly with Yicha’s order energy. 26
- His destruction energy can distort his appearance in Energy Vision into fragmented, prism-like images. 23
- His attacks can be neutralized by sufficiently equal order energy. 25
Extermination Destruction Cone
His primary weapon is a crimson spear formed from condensed destruction energy. 23
- Fires dense rain-like volleys of explosive flames and scarlet destructive fragments. 23 24
- Inflicts wounds that resist both Vine Spirit life spells and human law-spell healing. 23
- Can be recalled to his hand after being knocked away. 25
- Can shrink and transform into a sharpened bird bone carved with his title. 30
Command
As a demon hierarch, Yifomiet can issue commands that compel demon armies to obey immediately. 37
- Ordered the demon forces on Calamity Stone Floating Island to retreat in disciplined formation. 37
- Can restrain Xiqisi without physically approaching her and warn her not to force him to issue a direct order. 38
Transfiguration and Faith-Based Ascension
Yifomiet mastered Transfiguration through Sorena’s plan, using worship, a changed identity, and a new anchor to reshape his existence. 25 27 28
- Gained strength through the prayers and faith of human followers. 27
- Completed his ascension by carving “Hand of Destruction Yifomiet” into a bone that belonged entirely to him. 28
- His ability to master Transfiguration is the chief reason Yicha recruits him rather than killing him. 25
