"Oh, come on, Rin, what are you saying!" Kurenai said shyly. Beside her, Obito had already run into the crowd and shouted, "Brother Jin! Beat him!"
As the person involved, Rin only felt baffled. She had meant to leave, but an evil thought suddenly flashed through her mind. "Fighting is fine, but Kurenai can't be the wager... how about whoever loses gives the other person one thousand ryo?"
"Fine!" Asuma agreed without the slightest fear. As the son of the Third Hokage, did he lack money? Right now, his head was full of the image of himself knocking down this hateful Uchiha in front of him, then Kurenai looking at him with worshipful eyes...
Only, he had not expected the gap between himself and a real ninja...
Jin stuck one hand in his pocket and signaled for the other side to begin. Seeing that the other party did not take him seriously at all, Asuma immediately swung his fist and charged toward Jin.
The corner of Jin's mouth curved into a smile, but it was not mockery. He was amused by his own act of bullying a child.
But in Asuma's eyes, it was naked mockery... "You bastard!" Asuma shouted. Just as his fist was about to touch the other party, Jin vanished from where he stood in the next second.
He flashed behind Asuma, lifted him up with one hand like he was grabbing a chick, and said, "You lost. Pay up. Also... with your current strength, you can't even beat a genin."
"And I am someone who is closing in on jonin level. Train hard, kid."
Jin brought the Uchiha Clan's unique art of showing off to its fullest. Asuma still wanted to struggle, but he discovered that Jin's strength was far from ordinary... so he could only accept his fate and take out one thousand ryo.
Jin took the money and set Asuma down on the ground. Asuma said defiantly, "One day, I'll defeat you!"
Jin did not care at all. He vanished from where he stood with a Body Flicker. Rin and Kurenai were still messing around when Jin suddenly appeared behind Kurenai, placed his left hand on her shoulder, and said, "Kurenai, let's go."
"Ah!"
Before Kurenai and Rin could react, Jin used the Body Flicker Technique to teleport onto the street. As for why he did not use Flying Thunder God?
Jin's answer: I'm afraid of throwing up, and I'm afraid Kurenai will throw up too.
Kakashi, who had finished watching from not far away, felt even more pressure at the same time. He had been looking forward to sparring with a genius, and Jin was the most suitable candidate. The two of them were not very old, but judging from now, Jin beating him might be no different from stepping on an ant.
"I have to get Dad to teach me ninjutsu!" Kakashi secretly swore to himself.
Meanwhile, Kurenai, who was on the street, finally recovered. Naturally, she had watched the whole exchange between the two of them. She did not say Jin was bullying a child, but instead said, "Brother Jin, are you really short on money?"
"Mm... pretty short," Jin answered while rubbing his chin.
"But aren't ninjas very rich? Teacher said completing one mission gives a generous reward." Kurenai looked at Jin in puzzlement.
Jin said proudly, "Since my humble debut, I have completed no more than thirty missions in total, large and small. More than twenty of them were wartime missions, so the reward doesn't count. Real missions only add up to about three or four."
"But Brother Jin, you're so strong. Wouldn't you have money if you took more missions?" Kurenai still looked at Jin in confusion.
Jin said even more proudly, "Because I'm too lazy to do missions."
"All right..." Kurenai nodded in confusion, thinking, Brother Jin is so strong. If he doesn't do missions, he must have his reasons!
Seeing that Kurenai's house was just up ahead, Jin had even already thought about where he would use the money he had scammed from Asuma to treat himself to a meal later... only to discover a red-haired woman standing at the door.
"Holy shit!" Jin stopped and said to Kurenai, "Kurenai, you go the rest of the way back by yourself. I suddenly remembered I seem to have something else to do."
"Okay, Brother Jin." Kurenai obediently nodded. Jin was just about to take off running when a voice hard-locked him in place. "Uchiha Jin, you stand right there."
Seeing that red-haired woman walking toward her with a slight smile on her face, Kurenai immediately understood. Could Brother Jin be trying to hide from this big sister?
Driven by curiosity, Kurenai stayed where she was. Jin turned around with a fawning expression and said, "Oh my, Sister Kushina, what brings you here?"
"If I didn't come, wouldn't you just not go back?" Kushina walked over and said with a beaming smile, "Good thing Minato said in advance that you wouldn't behave."
"Damn it! Brother Minato, I treated you like a brother, and you treated me like a cousin!" Jin secretly complained.
Minato, who was leading a team on a mission outside, suddenly sneezed, rubbed his nose, and muttered to himself, "Hm? What's going on? Did I catch a cold?"
"Kurenai, big sister will walk you home." Kushina stroked Kurenai's little head and said gently, "My name is Kushina. You can call me Sister Kushina just like that brat does."
"Okay, Sister Kushina." Kurenai nodded very obediently. She thought this big sister in front of her was quite gentle, but why was Brother Jin so afraid of her?
Jin: Kurenai, oh Kurenai, don't be fooled by this woman in front of you...
Having been caught red-handed, Jin could only follow behind Kushina with a face that said life had lost all meaning. Kushina, meanwhile, chatted with Kurenai about something and even made Kurenai burst into laughter.
"Ah, women..." Jin muttered softly. Kushina, who was walking ahead, suddenly turned her head and said, "Oh, right, I forgot to tell you. Your Brother Minato went out on a mission. He might not be back for several days."
"Before he left, he entrusted me with making sure to keep you in line. Also, don't even think about taking missions. Minato has already informed Lord Hokage that you need to study genjutsu. During this period, no missions will be assigned to you."
"What the hell?!" When Jin heard this, he froze on the spot, his eyes widening as if they were about to awaken the Sharingan.
Naturally, Kushina would not care about that. Staying in the village every day was rather boring. If there was some entertainment to relieve the boredom, then of course that was a very good thing. So... Jin very unfortunately became that source of entertainment.
And so...
For the next few days, Jin spent all his time under Kushina's supervision, until on the fourth day, Jin finally could not take it anymore.
When he picked up Kurenai, Jin immediately said, "Kurenai, I'll stay at your house tonight."
"Hm? Brother Jin, did something happen to you?" Kurenai asked curiously.
"No, I just want to discuss genjutsu with Senior Shinku. I feel like my genjutsu has run into a bit of a bottleneck," Jin said righteously. "I'll send a Shadow Clone to tell Sister Kushina."
Kurenai did not have any doubts about this reason. After all, she had long known that Jin was studying genjutsu under her father. However, what she found strange was that her father did not really teach Jin; most of the time, Jin studied on his own.
Shinku: It's not that I don't teach him. It's that this kid is supposedly still reading theoretical knowledge even now...
"I don't know if Dad will be home tonight. If you don't have anything to do, Brother Jin, you can wait for Dad at our house," Kurenai said innocently.
"Then I'll have to trouble you again, Kurenai," Jin said cheerfully. "After all, the food you make is pretty good."
"It's not that good." Kurenai grew shy from the sudden praise, which made Jin, who was in a great mood, laugh despite himself.
