Background

Li Feifei was born into the Li Family of Phoenix Tower City, a declining third-rate martial family headed by her father, Li Shouyuan. Her father sent her to Hidden Spirit Academy to secure the patronage of a talented disciple from a major martial family and thereby protect the Li Family's future. 32 50

At the academy, she initially attached herself to Ye Xuan, handling his daily needs and giving him her money and cultivation resources. She treated Zhang Yu with open contempt after learning he came from Yi County, repeatedly calling him a country bumpkin and lowborn. 32

After Zhang Yu passed the Dragon Gate Assessment and became an inner court disciple, Li Feifei immediately changed course. She knelt before him, violently slapped herself until she lost a tooth, and accepted punishment without screaming or begging; Zhang Yu ultimately spared her. 35

Hidden Spirit Academy

Li Feifei decisively ended her relationship with Ye Xuan after he failed the Dragon Gate Assessment, telling him that she was neither his maid nor responsible for his future. Ye Xuan later used the promise of repaying a top-grade Blood-Nourishing Pill to lure her into an ambush, where he and Ye Ditian kidnapped her to force Zhang Yu's compliance. 38 39

While captive, she mocked Ye Xuan as worthless compared with Zhang Yu, helping shatter his martial heart. Zhang Yu killed Ye Xuan and Ye Ditian, then rescued her. In response, Li Feifei pledged her life and obedience to Zhang Yu; he rewarded her with a top-grade Blood-Nourishing Pill and instructed her to reach peak Dark Force. 39 40

She became Zhang Yu's most vocal supporter during the Azure Eagle Tournament, gathered intelligence on the competing disciples, attended to his needs between rounds, and defended him when aristocratic disciples denounced him. 40 42 45

Li Feifei accompanied Zhang Yu to Phoenix Tower City and persuaded her family to invest in him. She argued that Zhang Yu's talent and strength made even the Li Family's Yellow-grade inheritance, the Ninefold Ripple Palm, a worthwhile price for a future alliance. 49 50

After Zhang Yu killed Sima Shu and injured Sima Zheng, Li Feifei offered the Li Family's secret ancestral chamber as a hiding place. She convinced Li Shouyuan that protecting Zhang Yu was an opportunity to change the family's declining fate rather than a disaster to avoid. 52 53

Heavenly Heart Sect Incident

During the confrontation with Su Lingxi's guardian, Li Feifei awakened amid a deadlock between Zhang Yu and the old woman. She signaled Zhang Yu to gamble on her, then used a jade hairpin coated in Corpse Aura Blood Poison to cut the old woman's hand. Though she was thrown into a wall and badly injured, the poison killed the guardian. 58 59

Her willingness to risk her life to save Zhang Yu caused him to reconsider her position: rather than merely keeping her as a maid, he resolved to accept her as a disciple once he reached the True Qi Realm. 59

Heaven-Bearing Sect

After Zhang Yu returned to Heaven-Bearing City, Li Feifei argued against immediately teaching martial arts throughout the city.
