Background

Tang Hao spent six years in hiding after his earlier battle with Spirit Hall, during which he severely wounded Qian Xunji; Qian Xunji later died from those injuries. During this period, Tang Hao kept Tang San hidden and moved him from place to place. 38 39

He remained near Shrek Academy to watch over Tang San and the transformed hundred-thousand-year soul beast Xiao Wu. Upon discovering Yue Guan accompanied by the twelve-year-old Rank 50 Yang Jian, Tang Hao judged Yang Jian to be a dangerous Spirit Hall prodigy and resolved to kill both of them. 38

Tang Hao is fiercely protective of Tang San. Even after being defeated, maimed, and restrained, his immediate fear was that Yang Jian would harm Tang San at Shrek Academy. 46

His hostility toward Spirit Hall is rooted in vengeance and past conflict. He intended to kill Yue Guan, eliminate Yang Jian as a future threat, avenge himself on Spirit Hall, and restore the Clear Sky Sect's standing. 38 40 43

Tang Hao is also proud, confrontational, and prone to rage when insulted. His confidence collapsed into fear and desperation after Yang Jian and the Howling Celestial Dog overwhelmed him, yet he continued to seek revenge and ultimately accepted divine power to pursue it. 39 42 45 195

Shrek Academy Confrontation

Tang Hao observed Shrek Academy while guarding Tang San and Xiao Wu. He confronted Yue Guan and Yang Jian, moved the battle away from the academy to avoid exposing himself to Tang San, and initially overwhelmed Yue Guan. 38 40

Yang Jian then entered the battle with four ten-thousand-year soul rings. Tang Hao used the Clear Sky Nine Absolutes, Chaotic Wind Hammer Technique, Death God Domain, Ring Detonation, and his remaining strength, but was defeated by Yang Jian and the Howling Celestial Dog. 40 43

Capture and Imprisonment

Yang Jian spared Tang Hao's life but mutilated and humiliated him before ordering Yue Guan to seal his soul power and imprison him until the Clear Sky Sect was destroyed. Tang Hao surrendered, offered to serve Yang Jian, and begged for the sect to be spared. 44 46

Tang Xiao later learned from Yang Jian that Tang Hao was being kept with a Mating Ape. The Clear Sky Sect was eventually annihilated by Yang Jian. 102 144 168

Return to Spirit Hall

Tang Hao later reappeared above Spirit Hall, demanding Yang Jian's death. Empowered by the Asura God, he surpassed Qian Daoliu's expectations, defeated him, and declared his intent to destroy Spirit Hall. 193 195

Yang Jian intervened and drew Tang Hao away from Spirit City. In the Gobi, Tang Hao exhausted his divine power, life force, soul rings, and divine ring in a final Grand Sumeru Hammer attack, but Yang Jian survived and Tang Hao died from his defeat. 195 197
