Background

Yang Jian transmigrated into the Douluo Continent and was raised in Yellow Fish Village, Weihai City. His fisherman parents disappeared at sea when he was three, leaving his elder brother Yang Jiao to support Yang Jian and their infant sister Yang Chan through labor. 1

At six, Yang Jian awakened full innate soul power and twin martial souls. He accepted Wang Hegui's invitation to join Spirit Hall, both to escape poverty and to secure his siblings' future. 2 3
