Background / History

Tang Chen was the former leader of the Clear Sky Sect and the father of Tang Bo. During his era, he supported the sect’s growth and protected it as the continent’s “Invincible on Land.” His disappearance disrupted Tang Bo’s plans to develop the Clear Sky Sect and its affiliated clans into a force capable of rivaling Spirit Hall. 269

Seeking a path to godhood, Tang Chen entered Slaughter City and was chosen by the Asura God’s Divine Thought as an inheritor. Although he passed numerous trials, evil thoughts gradually consumed him. The Blood Red Nine-Headed Bat King corrupted his body with deadly poison and ultimately controlled him as the Slaughter King. 439 440

Dugu Feng defeated and sealed the Slaughter King, allowing Tang Chen to regain control of his body and memories. Tang Chen believed Dugu Feng’s account of the Clear Sky Sect’s suffering and became enraged at Spirit Hall, Bibi Dong, and Qian Daoliu. 431 432

He attacked Spirit City with the intention of avenging the Clear Sky Sect. Fighting both Qian Daoliu and Bibi Dong, Tang Chen used the Asura Demon Sword to shatter Bibi Dong’s Demigod Body and force her to flee through the Rakshasa Secret Realm. 434 435 436

After publicly reestablishing his presence, Tang Chen returned to the Clear Sky Sect, reunited with Tang Hao, Tang Xiao, and Tang San, and entrusted the Clear Sky Token to Tang Xiao. He then hurriedly arranged training and succession plans for Tang Hao and Tang San because he knew his own body was failing. 438 440 441

Tang Chen brought Tang Hao and Tang San toward Slaughter City and Sea God Island. He intended for Tang San to obtain Divine Slaughter’s Domain and for Tang Hao to evolve his own domain into the Asura Domain, allowing either descendant to inherit the Asura God’s power through the Asura Demon Sword. 441 442

Unable to withstand the strain of his damaged body and divine power, Tang Chen poured his remaining Asura Divine Power into the Asura Demon Sword and died on Sea God Island. 444 445

Appearance

After being freed from the Slaughter King’s possession, Tang Chen’s pallid complexion and blood-red veins vanished, replaced by healthy flesh and a ruddy complexion. In battle, he projected an overwhelming crimson aura and wielded a blood-red Clear Sky Hammer or the Asura Demon Sword. 431 434

Tang Chen was fiercely protective of the Clear Sky Sect and its descendants. Learning of the sect’s hardships, Tang Hao’s suffering, and Tang San’s repeated losses immediately drove him to seek retribution against Spirit Hall. 432 433

Despite his fury, he remained attentive to his family’s future. He personally advised the sect’s younger generation, recognized Tang San’s exceptional potential, delegated leadership to Tang Xiao, and made urgent arrangements for Tang Hao and Tang San to pursue the Asura inheritance. 440 441

His trust in Dugu Feng proved to be a critical weakness. Tang Chen accepted Dugu Feng’s false presentation of events and did not realize that his rescuer intended to seize the Asura Demon Sword and inheritance for himself. 431 440 445
