After learning of the situation in Dragonblight and having his brother-in-law, Blue Dragon Prince Arygos, temporarily slow his actions, Rend set sail for Borean Tundra once more.
However, Rend did not head directly to the Nexus. He decided to visit Warsong Hold first, to see how the Warsong Offensive was progressing and whether Garrosh and Kael'thas were working well together.

As Rend flew to the flight platform above Warsong Hold and descended, he could see great numbers of undead spiders continuously pouring from the pits below the fortress, battling the Warsong Offensive.
Warsong Hold was still built atop an exit used by the Nerubians. Rend did not know whether the tragedy at Garrosh's docks had occurred.
"A centurion of the Warsong Offensive reporting to you, Warchief Rend." The one who greeted Rend was none other than Nazgrel.
"Not bad, Nazgrel. Looks like you're doing quite well in the Warsong Offensive." Graduating from the military academy had given Nazgrel a much higher
