Rend's loud questioning left Keristrasza speechless. Ashamed, she turned her head aside, not knowing how to refute him.

"Hypocrite!" Rend spat, then turned and left, unwilling to say another word to Keristrasza.

He still remembered the hypocritical words of the Red Dragon NPC who had given out quests during the Coldarra questline: destroying the dragon eggs pained them, yet they had no choice but to destroy the Blue Dragon eggs beneath the Nexus.

Rend wanted to ask: aside from being somewhat rash and overeager for results, what crime had the Blue Dragon king, Spell-Weaver Malygos, committed by launching the Nexus War?

The Blue Dragonflight had always been sparsely populated. Those were only dragon eggs; even if they hatched, they would merely be hatchlings. What threat could they possibly pose to the Red Dragonflight?

What the Red Dragonflight had done was wipe out an entire bloodline. They had infiltrated Coldarra, killed Spell-Weaver Malygos's last consort, the Blue Dragon queen Saragosa, and destroyed the unhatched Blue Dragon eggs beneath the Nexus, cutting off the Blue Dragonflight's inheritance of the Spell-Weaver's bloodline.

The Red Dragonflight had not even been this ruthless toward the Black Dragons. They had gone to every length to purify Wrathion before he had even hatched.

Even the Red Dragonflight's own NPCs beneath Wyrmrest Temple had said that the Blue Dragonflight was not wrong. The endless desires of mortals and their excessive use of the ley lines should indeed be restrained.

But the Dragon Queen of the Red Dragonflight was Alexstrasza the Life-Binder. They could not refuse the orders of the Red Dragon Queen, just as the Blue Dragonflight would obey Spell-Weaver Malygos's orders even though they knew they were no match for the Red Dragonflight in an assault on Wyrmrest Temple.
