Attack on Amber Ledge

Since they had already wiped out the Red Dragonflight and Dalaran's base in Coldarra, Coldarra was effectively secure. The Spell-Weaver Malygos, who had made one mistake before, would never allow the Red Dragonflight and Dalaran to establish another base in Coldarra.

As for the entire Borean Tundra, once Amber Ledge was destroyed, the Red Dragonflight and Dalaran would lose their foothold. Coldarra's forces could then be freed up, allowing more elite Blue Dragons and mage hunters to be deployed to Dragonblight.

Eregos knew Rend's current identity, so he gathered Coldarra's elite Blue Dragon forces and mage hunter units, preparing to strike Amber Ledge first.

The Blue Dragonflight possessed a special technology: arcane platforms. They used these flying arcane platforms to transport troops, somewhat like the Protoss from that neighboring StarCraft universe.

The Red Dragons at Amber Ledge still did not know that their base inside Coldarra had been exposed, so they would certainly be unprepared. The sooner the surprise attack began, the better the results would be.

Eregos led the elite adult Blue Dragons, while Grand Magister Telestra and Mage-Lord Urom commanded the mage hunter force. They immediately departed Coldarra and flew toward Amber Ledge on the other side.

Amber Ledge stood on the cliffs of the Borean Tundra outside Coldarra. Its main structure was a mage tower, garrisoned by more than a dozen adult Red Dragons, nearly a hundred red dragon whelps, and several thousand Kirin Tor mages from Dalaran.

Amber Ledge was not far from Coldarra, so Eregos could still draw upon part of Coldarra's ley-line power, though its enhancement was nowhere near as terrifying as it was within Coldarra itself.
