Azeroth possesses a world-soul that can recognize inhabitants as part of itself. After the Horde founded Durotar, Rend—despite originating from another world—felt himself acknowledged by Azeroth's world-soul and no longer an outsider. 20
The world is described as a developing Titan protected by the Pantheon. Algalon the Observer was left behind to ensure its safety and possesses the authority to reformat Azeroth back to an original state resembling the earliest Emerald Dream. 784
Recognition of the Horde
Durotar's land and elements accepted the Orcs as new inhabitants after the Horde moved into the region.
