The appearance of the Lightbound had initially drawn no attention from Azeroth's various powers. It was only after Nethergarde Keep and Dreadmaul Hold fell, and enemies from another parallel Draenor arrived, that Azeroth's major factions learned of them.
"Garona, are you saying they came from another version of our homeland, Draenor? And that in that world, the Draenei became the rulers of Draenor, enslaving every race with the Holy Light and calling themselves the Lightbound?" Horde Warchief Garrosh Hellscream learned of the enemy's intelligence from the Uncrowned's half-orc agent, Garona.
A parallel world. Draenor. The Lightbound...
Garona nodded. "Yes, Warchief. This is all the intelligence the Uncrowned has obtained so far. We do not have many members in the Blasted Lands, and Dreadmaul Hold and Nethergarde Keep fell too quickly. We had no time to investigate them."
This was not entirely the Uncrowned's fault. The Uncrowned had now become Azeroth's foremost intelligence organization, the uncrowned king of Azeroth's underworld. Information from across Azeroth would fall into the Uncrowned's hands at the first opportunity.

Moreover, the Lightbound Army of the Light from Draenor was extremely cunning. Taking advantage of Azeroth's lack of intelligence on them, Lightbound from their world disguised themselves as Boulderfist Ogres, Mag'har Orcs, and Draenei, infiltrating Dreadmaul Hold and Nethergarde Keep.
After learning that there were virtually no garrisons across the Blasted Lands, and that the greatest obstacle was merely the Boulderfist Ogres living there, Archbishop Garrosh Hellscream and Archbishop Akama launched attacks on Dreadmaul Hold and Nethergarde Keep respectively.
The forces stationed at Dreadmaul Hold and Nethergarde Keep numbered less
