The cause of the commotion soon reached them.
It turned out that the hunting party the trolls had sent into the forest yesterday had captured a living Devilsaur, but it had broken free of its restraints and gone berserk, attacking the trolls.
Fortunately, the Great Beast Den had been designed with the possibility of such beasts escaping in mind, and the trolls had been provided with several escape routes. It should not injure too many trolls at most, though it would certainly make a complete mess of things.
After figuring out the cause,
Tonatiuh told Modera and the nearby trolls not to panic. It was only a Devilsaur, not a Devilsaur Queen or Devilsaur King.
An ordinary Devilsaur's danger level was only around Level 6 or 7. Kezra, whose class level was 7, was more than capable of handling it.
Tonatiuh was not worried.
Neither was Modera.
She had been in Zutona for over a month, and her external injuries had mostly healed. Though the chaotic torrent of magic within her body had yet to completely settle, she could already cast some simpler spells.
For a mage, what could provide a greater sense of security than magic?
"It's fine."
"Kezra will handle it."
Tonatiuh reassured the trolls and Modera.
Boom!
The moment he finished speaking,
A loud crash rang out in the distance. A tall figure flew over like a cannonball and slammed into a wooden wall, thoroughly disheveled.
Smack!
Tonatiuh helplessly slapped his forehead. He had just said everything was fine, only to be proven wrong immediately. The one sent flying was Kezra.
"Your Majesty! Sorry..."
Kezra crawled out from the splintered wood in shame. He did not seem injured, merely extremely bedraggled.
"I didn't use my weapon. I wanted to knock it unconscious with my fists... I didn't
