Zul'Gurub.

The former capital of the Gurubashi Empire stood on the highlands in the northwestern part of Stranglethorn Vale, the highest point in all of Stranglethorn Vale.

Because of its elevated terrain, although Zul'Gurub was also located in Stranglethorn Vale and retained its jungle climate, it was not excessively humid like the rest of the region.

At the center of this highland valley lay a vast mountain lake. Zul'Gurub as a whole was a mountain basin, with a lake at its center and an island in the middle of that lake.

The Trolls were scattered across the fertile lands surrounding the mountain lake, multiplying and thriving here generation after generation, worshipping their Loa here, and fighting for control over Zul'Gurub here.

Without question, the holiest and most important place in Zul'Gurub was the island in the middle of the mountain lake. The island held Zul'Gurub's largest temple, where the high priests of the Loa worshipped by the Gurubashi Trolls gathered to pray and conduct all manner of religious rites.

In other words, the temple on that small island in Zul'Gurub's mountain lake was the true political and religious center of the Gurubashi Trolls.

Today, nearly every high priest of the Loa worshipped by the Gurubashi Trolls had gathered in the temple.

These high-ranking Troll priests were holding a discussion and meeting that would determine Zul'Gurub's very survival.

"It is obvious that they have a clear objective. Everyone, that desert Troll and his people are coming for Zul'Gurub—for us!" Venoxis, high priest of the Serpent Loa, said in a low voice as he looked at the other priests.
