The next day.
Lu Mingyu got out of bed and squinted, vaguely making out someone clinging to the wall above his head. It gave him quite a fright—after all, this was the first time he had ever seen such a bizarre scene. Just imagine it: when you woke up in the morning, your vision still blurry, and saw someone dressed all in black above your head, like a wall-crawling gecko—how would you feel? Lu Mingyu sprang up at once and shouted, "Ghost!" Then, as if he had teleported, he vanished from the bed and ran out of his room.
He saw Tony directing Jarvis to prepare breakfast, so Lu Mingyu said awkwardly, "There's a ghost in my room."
Just then, a handsome young man of average height walked out of Lu Mingyu's room. He had blond hair, eyes as deep as the sea, and wore dark blue clothes. He looked at Lu Mingyu in confusion, his hands constantly shifting as though he wanted to say something, yet no words came out.
Tony said, "I guess you want to ask how he teleported. Let me tell you, that wasn't teleportation—it was super speed, like Quicksilver's. Haven't you always been interested in this sort of thing? Well, there you go. I found one for you."
"Oh my God, oh my God. Mr. Stark, I'm really so grateful. Though I have to say, this guy really has terrible sleeping posture. Oh, right, let me say beforehand that I didn't mean to barge into your bedroom. It was just that your door wasn't closed, and your face was unfamiliar... so..." Spider-Man changed his hand gestures, nodding his head now and then before rolling his eyes upward, as though there was something else he could not say.
"So you crawled onto the wall and watched me from up there?" Lu Mingyu still sounded badly shaken. What had just happened really had scared him; he believed his heart had nearly leaped out of his chest. Still, he happily asked Spider-Man, "Spider-Man?"
Spider-Man nodded. "Then... then who are you?"
"I was thinking of calling him Quick Flash, meaning he runs fast and has lightning on him. Or Quick Lightning, Blue Lightning Man, something like that. Or how about Flying Flash?" Tony ate the bread Jarvis handed him while pondering Lu Mingyu's codename.
"Mr. Stark, I actually wanted to know his name, not his codename. You know, I know everyone in the Avengers, but this guy... I don't really know him." Spider-Man had lived in Avengers Tower for a long time and had never seen Lu Mingyu before. Now that he had encountered this stranger, he was naturally curious. However, after an initial assessment, Spider-Man knew Lu Mingyu was not an Avenger.
When Lu Mingyu heard that Spider-Man wanted to know his name, he excitedly grabbed Spider-Man's hand. "My name is Lu Mingyu. I'm your fan—a huge fan!"
"Oh my God, really?" Spider-Man held a hand to his chest, clearly unable to handle the fact that someone so extraordinarily powerful was his fan.
"It's true. This kid wasn't even this excited when he met me. I remember him telling me that I was his super idol, but now it seems I'm just the uncle who provides him with food and shelter." Tony shook his head, though he was still quite pleased to see the two kids meet.
Spider-Man held Lu Mingyu's hand. "Peter Parker. Spider-Man."
"Really, I especially admire you. Honestly, I really want to tell everyone your identity. No one would ever think that a high school student is actually the superhero Spider-Man. I'm really excited." Lu Mingyu held Spider-Man's hand as though he could not let go, and Spider-Man liked holding his hand too. The ability this person had displayed just now was truly astonishing.
At the time, Spider-Man had only felt a streak of lightning flash before his eyes, and then the man had disappeared. Even his spider-sense had given no warning. What a terrifying existence.
Tony pointed at Spider-Man and said, "He's the pajama baby who relies on his uncle's equipment. What about you? What's your codename? You didn't seem interested in any of the ones I came up with earlier."
Spider-Man had just been about to say that he was not a pajama baby, but when he heard the part about relying on his uncle's equipment, he gave up on refuting it. Lu Mingyu looked at Spider-Man and Iron Man. "Wow, this is so exciting. I'm really happy to meet you both, but I really can't use Uncle Tony's suggestions for my codename. I call myself Flash."
At that moment, another phrase flashed through Lu Mingyu's mind: The Flash.
Now that Lu Mingyu possessed Flash's powers, he naturally called himself Flash—the codename that made him so excited and proud.
Spider-Man nodded. "Good name. It really is a good name."
"What good name? I think Quick Flash is better. It's like Quicksilver's name, isn't it?"
"Mr. Stark, even though you've given me so many things, I still have to say that your name really isn't as good as Flash. Besides, Quicksilver is Quicksilver—what the heck is Quick Flash? Seriously, I..." Spider-Man could no longer hold it in and burst out laughing.
Lu Mingyu found it funny too, but seeing Tony's solemn expression, he did not laugh. He merely nudged Spider-Man's shoulder and said, "Tony's going to be furious."
"Fine, you two don't need to laugh anymore. You've successfully increased your training by more than double—maybe even triple. But that should be easy for you two, right?" Tony wiped the bread crumbs from the corner of his mouth. "Right? There shouldn't be any problem, should there?"
Lu Mingyu froze for a moment, then said, "What? Training? Me too?"
"Yes, yes. You and Spider-Man. I think you two will work better together." Tony nodded.
Lu Mingyu excitedly grabbed Tony's hand. "That's great! I've always been thinking about how I could fight alongside Spider-Man."
Spider-Man, meanwhile, wore a miserable expression. He had already gone through several days of training, and now it had inexplicably doubled. That was truly difficult for him.
"Mr. Stark, I..."
Tony placed a hand on Spider-Man, who was about to speak, and said, "Get ready. Training is about to start, so you'd better hang in there. Otherwise, all your efforts will go to waste, and I'll tell your aunt you haven't been studying properly."
Lu Mingyu watched Tony walk away and said to Spider-Man, "That bad?"
"Yes, that bad. Mr. Stark has always thought I don't have enough combat experience, but I think I have plenty. And didn't I take part in the Civil War? I think I performed pretty well."
"I think so too, especially the part where you fought Ant-Man."
Spider-Man looked at him in disbelief. "You were there?"
"No, I just watched the surveillance footage from then. Honestly, it was really great."
"Really?"
"Of course!"
