Yun Ming served as the Pavilion Master of Sea God Pavilion and was regarded as the strongest person on Douluo Star. His fundamental inheritance was the Forbidden Arts Seven Absolutes, a spear-based art centered on merging Essence, Qi, and Spirit with heaven and earth. Before accepting Xu Yuan, he had already spent decades pursuing a path beyond Ultimate Douluo and attempting to condense Godhood independently. 85 88

He initially accepted Na Er as a close disciple because of their connection and her exceptional weapon-type Martial Soul. After observing Xu Yuan through six Sea God Island assessments over three years, Yun Ming recognized that Xu Yuan was more compatible with his inheritance and formally accepted him as a disciple. 88 350

Tree Elder later warned Yun Ming that condensing Godhood without a God Realm was a dead end, since Godhood required a God Realm to properly exist and develop. Yun Ming accepted the advice to reinforce his foundation rather than force an immediate breakthrough. 350 351
