Yu Xiaogang spent decades studying martial soul theory, despite his ideas being repeatedly rejected by established authorities. The accumulated frustration of those failures left him with a gloomy, obsessive aura that Xiao Wu instinctively distrusted. 7 9

At Nuoding Academy, he became Tang San's teacher. When he learned that Yun Tian, Tang San, and Xiao Wu all possessed innately full soul power despite seemingly weak martial souls, he regarded them as unusual cases worthy of investigation. 7 8
