A-Nan had barely finished speaking when the wind direction in the sky abruptly reversed.
On the outskirts of Immortal-Breaking Mountain, with the Heaven-Locking Array no longer isolating the area, the vast spiritual energy outside completely lost its original circulation paths. Extremely muffled booms erupted through the air one after another. An ocean of spiritual energy crazily poured in from every direction, completely filling the enormous void above Spirit-Severing Valley.
This immense concentration of spiritual energy pressed directly onto the ground around the valley. A wet layer of spiritual fluid instantly coated the surfaces of the once-hard rocks. An utterly abnormal phenomenon erupted within a few breaths.
At the edge of Spirit-Severing Valley, old tree trunks that had been dead for years crackled as their wood split apart. Dark brown bark was forcibly swollen open from within by a powerful surge of life. Strange crimson-purple blood-colored shoots burst through the bark and sprang out from deep inside the trunks. Buffeted by wind and rain, the shoots rapidly swelled, growing into palm-sized blood-red leaves in just a few breaths. Even the dead roots below came back to life, their rootlets digging fiercely into cracks in the granite and crushing entire boulders apart.
The spiritual energy pouring down from the sky continued pressing lower, colliding head-on with the spirit-severing force field emanating from the City-Guarding Stele.
The laws of the immortal path and the Ultimate rejection force slammed violently together in midair.
Ring after ring of transparent shockwaves, visible to the naked eye, exploded through the void. The waves swept outward, shearing off every newly grown blood-red leaf in the vicinity. The two utterly different powers ground against each other with brutal force, forcibly throwing the celestial phenomena above into chaos.
