Hearing that voice, Jiraiya's heart suddenly tightened. He knew that voice all too well.
"It's him..." Jiraiya murmured, a trace of helplessness in his voice.
That was right. The owner of that voice was Uchiha Yato, Konoha's infamous troublemaker who loved watching chaos unfold.
"Do you want to know your parents' story? If you do, I'll tell you." Uchiha Yato's voice sounded beside Jiraiya's ear, as though it carried an irresistible magic.
Jiraiya's gaze fell on Uchiha Yato. He saw the man looking at him with a teasing expression, seemingly waiting for his response.
Meanwhile, Naruto's eyes lit up at Uchiha Yato's words. He urgently asked, "Big brother, you know about my parents and what happened to me, don't you?"
"Big brother, you know where my parents are, right?" As Naruto spoke, tears rolled endlessly down his face like pearls from a broken string.
Seeing Naruto so heartbroken threw Jiraiya's heart into turmoil. He knew that if he told Naruto about his parents, he would have no way to answer to Hiruzen Sarutobi.
But looking at Naruto, who was nearly crying himself into a puddle of tears, Jiraiya simply could not bear to say no.
As Jiraiya hesitated, Uchiha Yato quietly observed his reaction from the side, while also watching Naruto's expression.
Uchiha Yato's earlier provocation had been aimed purely at Jiraiya, and Jiraiya naturally understood what he meant.
From Jiraiya's perspective, he was in an extremely difficult position.
On one side was the teacher he respected most, and on the other was the orphaned child of his only disciple.
Just as Uchiha Yato was about to continue, a Konoha ANBU suddenly appeared.

After stepping forward, the Konoha ANBU warned Uchiha Yato while doing his best to keep him away
