Naruto VS Sasuke

"That thing called a jinchūriki chakra cloak," Naruto explained.

The battle between the two jinchūriki had nearly completely destroyed the arena. Though the field was flooded with water, Yugito Nii's flames had still left the ground scorched black. Both of them were showing signs of fatigue. Even with plenty of chakra remaining, they did not have enough stamina to keep fighting.

"Fire Style: Blue Flame Ball!" Yugito Nii shouted, launching a massive blue fireball straight at Feng. Empowered by the Two-Tails' chakra, the fireball had turned blue and was nearly three times as powerful.

"Water Style: Great Waterfall!" Feng shouted. Water surged up from beneath the ground, forming a vortex in front of her. A torrent immediately blasted out of the vortex and collided with the fireball. The impact produced an enormous cloud of steam that blanketed the entire arena.

Seizing the opportunity, Yugito Nii guided the Two-Tails' chakra into her nails, making them longer and harder. As the steam cloud dispersed, she rushed toward Feng. Feng had not expected Yugito Nii to attack so quickly. Before she could prepare herself, she was slashed by her claws.

Feng took a heavy blow from both hands across her chest and right leg. She leaped backward and clutched her chest. Her mesh armor absorbed most of the damage, but the cuts were still deep.

Feng gathered Chōmei's chakra around her chest, and the wounds immediately began to heal, recovering completely within seconds.

Feng focused Chōmei's chakra on her back. A pair of wings sprouted from it, and she rose from the ground, flying several meters into the air.

Feng dodged the barrage of fireballs Yugito Nii launched at her from the air while preparing an attack with her swarm of insects. Yugito Nii quickly scaled the arena wall on all fours like a cat. She pushed off the wall with force and slammed into Feng in midair.

Yugito Nii grabbed Feng's leg and arm, leaving her unable to escape. She concentrated chakra in her legs, then, just before they hit the ground, Yugito Nii jumped, driving Feng into the ground with even greater force.

Boom!

The arena floor shook from the impact, and dust billowed into the air. Yugito Nii's cloak vanished, and her breathing became slightly labored. As the dust gradually settled, Feng lay there unconscious.

Hayate approached Feng and found that she had already passed out, so he called for the medical ninja.

"Yugito Nii wins," Hayate announced, and the audience erupted in cheers.

"Well done," the Raikage said proudly. Yugito Nii was an orphan. After her parents died during the accidental release of the Eight-Tails, the Raikage had taken her in as his adopted daughter and raised her as if she were his own.

"Nara Shikamaru and Temari," Hayate called.

What followed was the same as in the original story.

Hayate said, "Since Sasuke Uchiha has not arrived yet, we will proceed with the other matches."

"Gaara and Kankuro."

"Referee, I forfeit!" Kankuro shouted from the stands.

Hayate announced:

"Fine... Gaara wins."

"Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha," Hayate called.

At that moment, wind began to gather in the arena, and leaves swirled through the air. Everyone watched the scene before them. A few seconds later, Sasuke Uchiha and Kakashi appeared using the Body Flicker Technique.

"We're not late, are we?" Kakashi said as he awkwardly scratched the back of his head.

"You arrived just in time," Hayate said.

As Naruto walked down from the stands toward the arena, Sakura called out, "Naruto, please, don't hit him too hard."

"I won't kill him, so don't worry," he said, and Sakura let out a sigh of relief.

"I thought you weren't coming, Sasuke," Naruto said as he approached the arena.

"Why wouldn't I come? It's only a fight against you," Sasuke said.

"Naruto Uzumaki versus Sasuke Uchiha. Are you ready?" Hayate asked. Both of them nodded.

"Begin!"

Naruto vanished from where he stood and drove a punch into Sasuke's face, knocking him to the ground.

Sasuke got up, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. He activated his Sharingan and assumed a stance to intercept Naruto's punches.

A faint smile appeared at the corner of Sasuke's lips. He swiftly formed several hand seals and shouted:

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" He fired a medium-sized fireball at Naruto, who stood still and took the attack head-on.

A smug smile spread across Sasuke's face. When the smoke cleared and he saw Naruto completely enveloped in a golden, spiked aura, his smile immediately vanished.

"Ninja Art: Needle Jizō!"

He quickly changed his hand seals and continued:

"Ninja Art: Hair Needle Senbon!"

Naruto's hair lengthened and thickened once again. He bent slightly forward and unleashed a continuous stream of sharp needles made from his hair toward Sasuke.

Sasuke used "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" again.

Sasuke's flames collided with Naruto's needles and vaporized them, but he soon had to stop the fire attack due to shortness of breath.

The needles continued flying at him without end.

I can't just keep dodging, or I'll run out of stamina soon. I have to fight back, Sasuke thought.

"Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Sasuke shouted, and his shuriken instantly multiplied into dozens.

"Wind Style: Gale Palm!" Naruto said, pressing his hands together. He channeled chakra into the wind around him, and a powerful gale instantly erupted from his palms, charging toward the shuriken.

The shuriken stopped in midair, then flew back in the opposite direction, accelerating as they shot straight at Sasuke. Sasuke immediately swung his dagger to fend them off.

Why couldn't I copy those jutsu? Sasuke thought angrily.

"You still don't understand how to use your eyes," Naruto said, and Sasuke's eyes widened further.

"Your Sharingan can't keep up with the speed of my hand seals, so you can't copy my jutsu. It's that simple," Naruto explained. "What a shame," he added mockingly.

"How do you know so much about the Sharingan?" Sasuke demanded.

"Sasuke, Sasuke, I thought you were smart."

"What do you mean?" Sasuke asked in confusion.

"First, I know a lot about the Sharingan. Second, I said that people believed my bloodline limit was the strongest in the world. Third, Kakashi said you knew a lot about my bloodline limit too. What conclusion can you draw?"

"Y-you, don't tell me..." Sasuke stammered.

"That's right," Naruto said. Then he slowly closed his eyes and gradually opened them again, revealing a pair of glowing Sharingan.

"That's impossible..."

"Release!" Sasuke shouted, erupting with chakra, but nothing happened.

"Release!" he repeated, but the Sharingan remained.

"You can't release it, because this isn't genjutsu. I possess the Sharingan..." Naruto said arrogantly.

"How are you worthy of those eyes?" Sasuke roared. Overwhelmed by emotion, he charged at Naruto at full speed.

Naruto moved as fast as lightning and kicked Sasuke hard in the chest, sending him flying into the wall.

Sasuke slowly got to his feet and coughed several times.

"You know, Sasuke? I awakened the Sharingan when I was five, and by the time I was six, it had already fully matured," Naruto explained. Sasuke's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

"Now, Sasuke," Naruto said as his Sharingan began to spin, "let me show you the true power of the Sharingan."
