(If there's anything you don't understand about Josuke's abilities, feel free to leave a comment. I feel like the ability I wrote is a bit overpowered...)
For the first time, Itachi understood what shock truly meant.
Just like him?
He must have gone through the same pain as well.
Itachi's condition could no longer be described as terrible. Even terminal illness would have been an understatement. His blurred eyes could not clearly make out his younger brother, who had already grown up.
When was the last time?
Three years ago, Itachi remembered.
When Sasuke defected.
Then they should work too, Itachi thought with a soft laugh.
Sorry, Josuke. This was the last time...
With those eyes, there should be no problem, as long as he did not step in himself...
Inside Josuke's Tsukuyomi space.
Compared to Bishamonten, Tsukuyomi's consumption was truly insignificant. Though it still consumed some power, it did not have much of an effect. It was nothing like Bishamonten's overbearing, unreasonable nature.
"Itachi!"
This should have been the first time Josuke had spoken to Itachi in such a tone.
Itachi lowered his offensive stance as well.
He walked over to Josuke.
Closer, and closer still.
At last, he could clearly see Josuke's face. Though their features seemed to have been carved from the same mold, Itachi recognized the person before him at a glance.
Because Josuke had a beauty mark at the corner of his left eye.
"Stop using those things. You'll go blind."
Josuke spoke up to warn Itachi.
For some reason, his eyes had grown damp. Less than fifty centimeters separated them, and only then did Itachi finally see Josuke clearly.
The night of the clan massacre! Why had he been unable to change anything back then?
Itachi had been wrong. Their father had been wrong.
