New Uses for the Six Eyes

A new day, a new beginning. Toru arrived at the Ninja Academy to start his second day of school.

Toru did not mind the life of a ninja student.

Although his peers seemed a bit childish, making the daily routine at the academy feel like child's play, the platform provided for learning and training was quite attractive to Toru.

Toru did not arrive particularly early, as he had stopped to see Fugaku in the morning.

Kurenai then propped her cute, chubby cheeks on her hands, tilting her head to stare at Toru.

After a long while, Toru snapped out of it, turned his head, and locked eyes with Kurenai.

"What's wrong?"

"N-nothing!" Kurenai's face flushed red, and she hurriedly turned her head away.

Toru then went back to his "spacing out" training.

Kurenai's actions were quite noticeable in the classroom, and a familiar sneer came from the seat behind her.

Kurenai knew instantly that it was Anko's voice, so she turned back and rolled her eyes at her.

Beside them, Asuma clenched his fists tightly, crinkling his book with his grip.

Yamashita Hiroshi tapped his desk from the podium. "No fidgeting during class."

However, the bell rang just then. Yamashita Hiroshi's greatest merit was that he never dragged out his lessons, so he gathered his books and left.

The next class was ninjutsu, taught by a new, young teacher with a square face named Tanaka Hajime.

Consequently, Toru stopped refining his chakra.

Tanaka Hajime announced that this session would be a practice period, and the content for the day was the Clone Technique.
