Background / History

Previous Life and Rebirth

Before becoming Uchiha Toru, he was Gojo Sora, the head of the Gojo Clan approximately four hundred years before the era of Satoru Gojo. While fighting Zenin Yoru, an unfinished use of Hollow Technique: Purple distorted space-time and sent him into the shinobi world. His silver-white hair, azure Six Eyes, Limitless Technique, and memories remained bound to his soul. 227 241

Childhood and Uchiha Recognition

Toru entered the Uchiha compound as the white-haired son of the sickly, exiled Uchiha Shimizu and an outsider mother. Some clansmen rejected him as mixed-blood, but he quietly supported his father and remained alert to the hostility around them. 1

After Shimizu died at age twenty-five, Toru inherited his father's chakra-extraction notes, Fire and Water Release collections, genjutsu research, Uchiha ninja-tool techniques, and chakra-testing paper. Shimizu's final instruction—to become strong enough to control his own life—became Toru's defining goal. 1

Toru formed a summoning contract with the three-legged crow Sanwei after discovering the Yatagarasu Summoning Contract Scroll, which bore a pledge to change the Uchiha clan's fate. 66

He came to believe that strength alone could not reform either the Uchiha or Konoha. Instead, he sought to cultivate capable companions—including Asuma, Dohka, and Tekka—to change both institutions together. 93

During the Uchiha coup d'état, Toru worked alongside Fugaku and Shisui against Konoha's upper ranks. He persuaded Orochimaru to remain neutral in exchange for freedom to continue his research, while Toru led the assault on Root's base. 225
