Background / History

Yu Xiaogang was born as the son of Yu Yuanzhen, the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect's sect master. His original martial soul was the exceptionally rare Bright Sacred Dragon, a bloodline said to appear once in ten thousand and capable of restoring the sect's glory. Its awakening required unyielding will, endurance through setbacks, and an absolute determination to reach the peak. 7

The Sky Curtain reveals that Xiaogang was excessively spoiled in his youth and indulged in comfort, play, and lust rather than cultivation. As a result, his Bright Sacred Dragon was ruined into the purple, pig-like Luo Sanpao. He spent much of his life believing himself the victim of a tragic mutation, having been mocked, expelled from his family, and abandoned by his first love. 6 7

He later became a martial soul theorist and formulated the Ten Core Competencies of Martial Souls. Flender credits him with traveling the continent's archives and compiling his theories, while also praising the Golden Iron Triangle's ability to perform the Golden Sacred Dragon Martial Soul Fusion Skill. 8
