Twenty thousand years ago, the Star Dou Great Forest was a vast soul beast empire and humanity’s absolute forbidden zone. Thousand-year soul beasts were common even on its outskirts, while hundred-thousand-year beasts were not unusual deeper within. Its soul beasts launched a massive beast tide every year, forcing human powers to establish fortified defensive lines along the forest’s edge. 16
The forest’s balance was catastrophically altered when Lin Xuan entered its core region and unleashed numerous Strange Fires. Soul beasts below the hundred-thousand-year level could not flee; their cultivation and souls were drawn into his pill furnace. Later accounts describe the disaster as having burned half the forest, while the Sky Curtain shows flames consuming forests across thousands of miles and annihilating even ancient overlords. 15 24 33
Di Tian attempted to stop Lin Xuan with the Dragon God’s Claw but was overwhelmed by the Void Swallowing Flame. The Silver Dragon King used her origin power to preserve him, while the trauma and memories of the fire were subsequently sealed. 15 24
