"Did you all come to Konoha for this?"
Yan asked knowingly.
What did he think?
Did he really think they had nothing better to do than make a group trip to Konoha for a visit and a stroll?
Mei Terumi gave him a speechless look.
They were all busy, all right?
None of the Four Kage had any free time.
Rasa was run ragged. Sunagakure was still in ruins and needed development, the oasis was being expanded, and mountains of matters awaited his attention.
If Konoha's actions had not been so strange, Rasa would never have wanted to leave his village at a time like this.
Mei Terumi was in much the same situation.
Sunagakure had suffered terribly, but Kirigakure had not fared much better. As the aggressor, they had expended more and lost more personnel after a war. Fortunately, Kirigakure's economy was slightly better than Sunagakure's, so it was not struggling quite as badly.
Even so, Mei Terumi had pulled out quite a bit of hair.
She was worried that she would go bald before she even turned thirty.
As for Ōnoki, the most miserable Tsuchikage—there was no need to spell it out. Everyone understood. Among the Five Great Shinobi Villages, Iwagakure was in the worst shape; among the Five Kage, Ōnoki had it the worst.
Not only was the village burdened with countless problems, but his disciple had even been lured away.
Whenever he thought of Deidara, whom he had painstakingly trained, running off just for some so-called art, Ōnoki nearly had a heart attack from rage.
Fortunately, he still had Kurotsuchi as a backup. Otherwise, Iwagakure would not even be able to find a suitable candidate for Tsuchikage.
The Akatsuki were not to be taken lightly. If they said they would capture Iwagakure's jinchūriki, they captured him.
