"Sensei, I'm sorry!"
The milk carton in Hatake Kakashi's hand burst open, but he paid no attention to the rancid smell of the spoiled milk inside. His eyes had already grown moist.
"You're the Fourth Hokage's disciple!" Second Pillar's eyes lit up. He had often heard his father talk about some of the Fourth Hokage's deeds.
If he had that kind of strength, he should be able to look into the things he wanted to know.
Hatake Kakashi did not answer him and simply walked away.
But then he turned back and took Second Pillar with him.
"You're my mission target right now. Wandering around outside alone makes it easy for someone else to snatch you away. You'd better come with me." Hatake Kakashi softened.
If Second Pillar appeared alone on Konoha's streets, his fate would be miserable.
At the same time, there was somewhere he wanted to go, and he could use Second Pillar as cover.
The two soon arrived at Konoha Library, separated from them by only a wall.
"Find somewhere to hide and rest. Tomorrow, I'll take you to explain things to the Hokage." Hatake Kakashi spoke softly as he plunged into the library.
He headed straight for the historical miscellany section.
"Konoha has no history!" A sentence Uchiha Feng had once said suddenly echoed through Second Pillar's mind.
With his short little legs, he also walked into that section of the library.
A long while later.
"You were looking for this, right?" Second Pillar pulled out a tattered book from a low corner of a bookshelf.

The moment Second Pillar lifted the tattered book, it gave a rustling crack and fell apart into loose pages, which rained down onto his head.
"Still unwilling to give up? I won't interfere too much in your affairs.
