Background / History

Xiao Wu entered Notting Academy and joined the Seventh Dormitory, where she first encountered Yun Tian. She introduced herself as “Xiao Wu—the Wu from dancing,” but he immediately left for the cafeteria. After unknowingly sleeping in his bed, she was removed from it by Yun Tian and reluctantly admitted that she was at fault. 5

She grew attached to Yun Tian despite his blunt manner. She asked him for money to buy bedding, mistook his knowledge of her innate full soul power as possible hidden concern, and regularly tried to draw him into conversation while he focused on cultivation. 6 10 11

Her relationship with Tang San deteriorated rapidly. Xiao Wu found his gaze toward her disturbing, hid behind Yun Tian’s bed during their first major dormitory conflict, and later reported Tang San after he approached her while she was cultivating. 6 19

When Yun Tian graduated early and disappeared from Notting Academy, Xiao Wu was devastated. After learning from Dean Yuan Hua that Yun Tian might have gone to Heaven Dou Royal Academy, she accepted early graduation herself and set out to find him, initially traveling toward Soto City. 14 20

She eventually reunited with Yun Tian during the Imperial Battle Team’s conflict with Shrek. Though hurt when he initially treated her like a stranger, she later spoke with him privately and learned that he had known her soul-beast identity all along, yet had never intended to kill or exploit her for a soul ring. 25 29 30

When Tang Hao attacked Yun Tian and attempted to force Xiao Wu to sacrifice herself for Tang San, she instead chose Yun Tian. Her sacrifice granted him a hundred-thousand-year red fifth soul ring and pushed his soul power beyond level fifty. 31 32
