"Mr. Kuler can directly withdraw Galleons from your vault?"

While they waited for Professor Murray in the hall, Wade quietly asked Marchioni.

"Don't worry." Knowing what he was thinking, Marchioni lowered his voice as well and whispered, "Goblins—they can put Galleons into a vault, but they can't withdraw them at will unless they have the vault owner's authorization. The Ministry of Magic made a contract with the goblins long ago—a very ancient, powerful contract. It is precisely because goblins would never steal from what they guard that people are accustomed to storing their valuables in Gringotts."

"But I heard that Gringotts was broken into this summer?" Wade recalled a news report he had heard someone mention.

"Yes, that did happen."

Griphook, the goblin who was walking over with Professor Murray, heard Wade's words and immediately stressed, "But he didn't steal anything. Gringotts remains the safest place in the Wizarding World."

Professor Murray still had empty hands after retrieving his things, and Marchioni did not ask about it. Once they had left Gringotts, he said to the two of them, "Sorry, Professor, Wade, I need to arrange for the new products to hit the shelves as soon as possible. There are only a few days left before school starts, and there is still a lot of business to coordinate!"

Professor Murray nodded. "Go get busy, Marchioni."

"See you next time, Mr. Marchioni," Wade said goodbye as well.

Marchioni held down his hat with one hand and gave a slight bow before hurrying away. Wade saw that he seemed to be heading toward the offices of the Daily Prophet. Though he had already marveled at it several times, he could not help saying it again, "Mr. Marchioni truly makes every second count."

"Whenever money is involved, he is more proactive than anyone."
