The ants did not crawl up his ankles to gnaw at his flesh. As he passed, the crabs drew their sharp pincers inward. The mantises stared at him, yet did not attack.
The cheetah lying on the ground was badly mutilated, with only one eye remaining, gleaming red. Yet when Braun reached out and stroked its broken spine, it made a low, almost whimpering sound, as though conveying a conversation only the two of them could understand.
Among the Death Eaters, some dropped their Wands. Some dug their nails deeply into their palms. Some made harsh, rasping sounds in their throats, as if someone had seized them by the neck.
Their gazes darted frantically between Braun and Wade. Even Voldemort's eyes widened slightly.
Why weren't the Golems attacking this guy?
Could there be... some unknown connection between them?
Or was there some tacit understanding between Dumbledore and Grindelwald...
