A double-decker bus rolled slowly down the street. Several students who had just gotten off laughingly squeezed into the Ice Cream Parlour on the corner, and the little bell chimed crisply as its glass door swung open and shut.
Under the awning outside a café, a man in a linen suit was busily writing something in a notebook. In a telephone booth not far away, a woman in a red dress was arguing fiercely into the receiver.
Harry stared at the scene before him in surprise, suddenly feeling awkward in his long school robes.
"This is... London?" Wade noticed the signs on the shops lining the street. He blinked and asked, "Professor, does your old friend live here?"
"Oh, not far from here. Come with me."
Dumbledore led the two of them down the broad street.
Wade looked up at the tall Dumbledore. His long beard and hair looked extremely wizard-like, while his deep purple robes embroidered with silver patterns were exceptionally conspicuous. Not to mention the gold pointed hat on his head—the visual impact was simply overwhelming.
Yet none of the pedestrians on the street gave them more than a passing glance, as though the Headmaster had cast a Disillusionment Charm on everyone.
However, whenever pedestrians approached them head-on, they would still take the initiative to avoid colliding with the three of them. It was not as though they could not see them at all.
This Notice-Me-Not Charm is simply perfect, Wade secretly marvelled.
Harry widened his eyes as he watched an elderly woman walking her dog naturally pull it aside to avoid them. She passed Dumbledore without a second thought, yet seemed utterly oblivious to what they were wearing. Unable to contain his curiosity, he asked:
"Professor, can they actually see us or not?"
"Of course they can
