"Wait, is this one of those stone circles?"
Wade quickened his pace to catch up, asking sternly, "Legend says places like these are gateways between reality and other worlds. Stepping inside is extremely dangerous... and you want to use it as the entrance to an amusement park?"
He truly wanted to pry open Marchioni's skull and see whether it was filled with nothing but "Gryffindor."
Marchioni seemed to have been waiting for exactly that reaction and immediately burst into hearty laughter.
"My dear Wade, do I look like such a brainless person?"
Still laughing, he shook his head and reached out to pat Wade on the shoulder.
"Think about it. Salisbury's Stonehenge, Cumbria's Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Senegambia Stone Circles by the Gambia River, and the Twelve Apostles in West Yorkshire... those famous stone circles of legend really did once connect to other worlds, but that was all in the past."
"The Elves left our world more than a thousand years ago, and those passages were completely sealed and rendered useless with their departure. Now, they are nothing more than tourist attractions where Muggles take photographs."
His smile faded somewhat, though his expression remained confident and spirited as he said:
"Even those large stone circles have lost their function, much less the small fortresses scattered through the wilderness."
"The painting I found is an alchemical creation forged jointly by ancient human wizards and Elves. It is not some dangerous gateway, and its ability to connect to other worlds vanished long ago. The only thing it has retained is that incomparably exquisite shrinking spell."
"Don't worry. While you were busy with the tournament, Professor Murray and I conducted hundreds of tests on it to ensure it was truly safe. Its only purpose is to give our visitors a marvelous miniature journey."
